Forgiving through to love was very difficult in some situations and recognizing the importance of that took me a couple pods.
It's not something I've logically battled through. It's something I've emotionally also battled through.
It wasn't just me dramatizing. That really helped me not fight myself. So that graphs, whatever it's worth, those were really big takeaways for me.

The interview

What was an important takeaway regarding your family relationships?

I would like to remember that—I think something that was said to me during the sessions was, 'a parent gives and a child receives.' And that, sort of, balance between a parent and child so that I'm not demanding too much. I'm also not expecting what I'm sending to be, necessarily, gifted back in any way. That relationship was very important. I worked on that in a couple of my resets. Both from my parents and from being a parent as well.

What did you learn about the process of forgiveness during your sessions?

A second one might be that—forgive through to love was very difficult but also very necessary, to really do it thoroughly. I think there was easy logical explanations for everything I was trying to work through. But forgiving through to love was very difficult in some situations and recognizing the importance of that took me a couple pods.

How did you move past the logical barriers to emotional healing?

To lean into that further—if I look at this a few months from now—to not have forgotten how critical it was to sit on that forgiveness through to love. To recognize that it's actually there. It's not something I've logically battled through. It's something I've emotionally also battled through. I think that was a big learning for me this time around.

How did you handle things that felt unforgivable at the start?

Not everything was forgivable when I started this but if I think about what I'm trying to gain and why would I be holding onto it, what good does it do me to hold onto it? I think those questions really helped me get out of that mode.

What was the value of seeing the data and graphs of your brain?

An important takeaway for me—to see the brain at the basic state. Because this is from my point of cognitive thinking. It wasn't just me dramatizing. That really helped me not fight myself. So that graphs, whatever it's worth, those were really big takeaways for me. It was very important for me to realize that I'm working on something that is tangible that we can measure.
