The interview
How would you describe your working relationship with TeamBonding?
Our working relationship with TeamBonding is very, very positive. We collaborate on how everything will work in the best interest of the customer, the client that would select TeamBonding and us as a venue. And we have done a lot of creative type changes to scripts for the theatrical events to be very suiting for our venue.
Who are you and how long have you worked with the company?
My name is Mike Fitzgerald. I am the general manager of the MIT Endicott House, who has worked with TeamBonding for over 25 years. Our relationship began when David Goldstein, the principal, reached out to us saying that our venue would be a great option for their programs.
What is the nature of your collaboration on events?
It is a good exchange back and forth, trying to make some of the events, the menus kind of augment or simulate the era that one of the events would be occurring. When TeamBonding's team arrives on site, they will check out all of the spaces and areas that are to be used and then meet with one of the key individuals on our team and make sure that we're all on the same page.
How does TeamBonding handle the execution of time-sensitive events?
When you're doing dinner type theatrical events, timing is very, very critical. And so we make sure that both teams are in sync on the timing for execution for a successful event. On their side of things, they are very, very efficient at cleaning up. Specifically for the culinary events, their staff make sure that the room is returned to exactly how it was prior to the start.
What makes TeamBonding a great partner from a venue perspective?
One of the qualities in making a great partner is they understand the layout of our venue. They look to make sure that they work within the parameters of the menu and that we collaborate on every step along the way throughout the process.
Which specific events stand out to you as particularly successful?
The murder mystery events that we have done are very special because again, our menus are period driven and that the theme is designed for certain eras, maybe the 1880s, 1920s, 1950s, late 1700s. So there's a lot of changes in the script and also in the menu and delivery. So those stand out as they're fun to do.
What advice would you give to someone considering a partnership with TeamBonding?
For those that would be considering a partnership with TeamBonding, you're going to find very professional individuals throughout the organization, very focused on delivering a good product, a good event, and that they are looking to collaborate and build a long-term relationship. I go back to the point, we've been doing this with them for over 25 years. I think that says volumes.
