The interview

What was the immediate reaction to your TeamBonding event?

When you have an event and then almost immediately everybody comes back with how much fun they had and it just made their night so much better and we also had somebody who came and asked us for the information because she knows someone who also does events like this and they were already wanting to refer to their friends, it was a no-brainer.

Why did you choose TeamBonding for your volunteer appreciation?

A lot of your day is spent trying to figure out how to appreciate these people that volunteer their time and do so much for others, we really wanna do so much for them. And this is such an easy way to just take, to just say, 'Okay, we wanna do this,' and then that's all we have to do. You know, Team Bonding did the rest.

What is the mission of your program at SNAP?

My name is Suzanne Winland. I am director of the Friendly Visiting Program at SNAP, which is a senior agency. My base is mostly volunteers, and our volunteers visit homebound isolated clients to help lessen their social isolation. And we always love to reward them.

What specific type of event did you host and why?

This was just a great way, they're located everywhere within the United States, to be able to get a virtual event that is not really associated with work, that was more fun, to give everybody a chance to kinda get to know different things about each other and to just have some lightheartedness. So it just sounded like such a great idea to do a game show online.

How was your experience working with the TeamBonding staff?

When I contacted Team Bonding, everyone was so accessible and gave us great suggestions on what to do, and the scheduling was great, and the cost was fabulous, and it just got us excited to try this new way of volunteer appreciation. Our facilitator, Stephanie, had so much energy from the second she signed on to the group.

What was a highlight of the activity for the participants?

I think that we had a really fun time because we were allowed to make up our own team names. Even though that sounds like something stupid, it's a different side that you're seeing of people and the creativity. Like, our team was all female, so we named our team Damsels in Dismess. And to see how competitive people are. You don't really realize how competitive people are in the functions that they have within the agency.

How do you feel about using TeamBonding in the future?

Since working with Team Bonding, it fills my heart to see how easy it was to make so many of our volunteers happy. To have this in my pocket when I need to do an event, to just know, 'All right. I don't really have much time for planning. Let's just do something, and Team Bonding will just figure out everything,' and that's, you know, very secure feeling.

Frequently asked

What is the quality of TeamBonding facilitators?

When I first reached out to Team Bonding, it just seemed like really a group of people that really want to ensure that the people that participate have a great time. Our facilitator, Stephanie, had so much energy from the second she signed on to the group. I would highly recommend hiring Team Bonding because when you have an event that you wanna plan and you wanna make your employees or your volunteers happy and you don't want all the work to be done on yourself, this is such a perfect way, whether it's in person or on video, to be able to just say, "This is what we want. This is what we wanna get out of it," and then you can just go to sleep knowing that it is gonna be a perfect event, and you are really going to make all your participants so happy that they joined.
