Privacy Policy

ShareOne Reviews (https://shareonereviews.com) is a public directory of first-hand video interviews, published by Share One, the platform used to record them. Share One is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. Questions, requests and complaints can be sent through share.one.

This policy covers this website. It does not cover the separate Share One recording platform used by organisations, or third-party sites we link to.

The core of this site is content that interviewees knowingly and voluntarily recorded for publication. For each interview we may publish:

• The video recording, including the person's image and voice.
• Their name (or a masked form — see below) and, where they chose to give it, their role, city or a headshot.
• A transcript of what they said, and quotations, summaries and topic tags derived from it.
• The organisation the story relates to, and the date the interview was recorded.

We do not publish contact details, payment information, health records or account credentials. Interviewees are asked not to disclose sensitive personal information about third parties, and we remove it when we find it or when it is reported to us.

Publication rests on the interviewee’s explicit consent, given through a participant release at the time of recording. Nobody is paid or scripted, and participation is voluntary.

Where an interview touches on health, recovery or other special-category information, that content is published only because the interviewee chose to make it public themselves, and is treated as information manifestly made public by the data subject.

Our remaining processing — keeping the directory available, secure and accurate — rests on our legitimate interest in operating a trustworthy public reference resource.

An interviewee, or the organisation they recorded with on their behalf, can turn on name masking at any time. When it is on:

• Their name is shown as first name plus last initial only (for example "Christina H."), with middle names dropped.
• Surname and middle-name mentions are scrubbed from page copy, transcripts, structured data, search results and generated articles.
• Their thumbnail and headshot are removed so the image cannot be used to identify them.

Changes propagate on the next sync, usually within minutes. Permanent web addresses created before masking may remain in place so existing links do not break; ask us and we will retire the old address with a permanent removal response instead.

Visitors do not need an account. When you browse, we collect:

• Standard server and security logs (IP address, user agent, requested page, timestamp), kept for a short period to keep the site available and to detect abuse.
• Aggregate analytics through Google Analytics, which uses cookies to measure page views, referrals and approximate location at country or city level.
• Product analytics and session replay through Microsoft Clarity. Clarity sets cookies and records how pages are used: clicks, taps, scrolling, mouse movement, rage or dead clicks, page performance, browser, device type, operating system, referring page and approximate location derived from IP address. Clarity also reconstructs a playback of the pages you visited in a session, and builds heatmaps of where visitors click and scroll. Text you type into inputs, including the question box, is masked by Clarity before it leaves your browser, and we do not use Clarity to identify you by name. • Search terms typed into the question box, used to match stories and to improve the questions we answer. These are handled by us in aggregate; do not enter personal or sensitive details there.

We do not sell personal information and we do not run advertising trackers. We use session replay and heatmaps to understand how the site is used and to fix usability problems, not to build marketing profiles or to target individuals. You can block cookies in your browser or enable Global Privacy Control / Do Not Track; the site works without them.

The site sets cookies and similar identifiers for two purposes only: aggregate traffic measurement (Google Analytics) and product analytics with heatmaps and session replay (Microsoft Clarity). There are no advertising or retargeting cookies on this site.

• Session replay captures interactions with the page — clicks, scrolling, cursor movement and page performance — not your screen, camera, microphone or files.
• Clarity masks text entered into form fields and the question box by default, so keystrokes are not recorded in the playback.
• Recordings and heatmaps are viewed by our team to diagnose usability problems, and are held by Microsoft on our behalf.

To opt out: block or clear cookies for this site in your browser, use private browsing, enable Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track (Clarity honours a Do Not Track signal), install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or write to us and we will delete any recording associated with your visit where we can identify it. The site is fully usable with all of this blocked.

Published interview content is public by design: it is indexed by search engines, quoted by answer engines and AI assistants, and may be cached or reproduced by third parties we do not control. Once content is public we cannot guarantee its removal from those third parties, though we will help where we can.

We also use service providers who process data on our instructions:

• Hosting and content delivery for serving the site.
• Database and storage infrastructure for the interview mirror.
• Google Analytics (Google) for aggregate traffic measurement, and Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft) for product analytics, heatmaps and session replay, as described above.
• AI providers used internally to summarise transcripts and monitor citations.

We disclose information beyond this only where legally required, or to establish or defend legal claims.

Interviews stay published while they remain relevant and consent stands. Withdrawn or hidden interviews are removed from the directory, sitemaps and search index promptly, and their addresses return a permanent removal response. Server logs are kept for a limited period. Google Analytics data is retained in aggregate form, and Microsoft Clarity session recordings and heatmap data are retained by Microsoft for a limited window (currently around 30 days) before being deleted.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your personal information, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.

If you appear in an interview, the fastest routes are to ask the organisation you recorded with to turn on name masking or unpublish the story, or to contact us directly. We respond within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EEA you may also complain to your supervisory authority.

This site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly publish interviews with anyone under 16 without verified parental consent. Tell us if you believe we have, and we will remove the content.
