What was your biggest takeaway regarding your life after attending 40 Years of Zen?

My biggest takeaway on life is that I'm good enough just the way I am. I don't need to be anything other people expect me to be, I'm doing the best I can and I'm here improving myself to be even better for myself and for others.

What are you most excited about moving forward?

Moving forward, I'm most excited about what I can accomplish and this time it isn't just I've accomplished the work, I've been the mom, I've been workaholic, I've done a lot and but now it's what can I accomplish for me? How do I love and nurture myself? And make myself a priority, which I didn't tend to do.

Why would you recommend 40 Years of Zen to others?

I would recommend 40 Years of Zen to others because it is truly a deep dive into the scariest parts of yourself that after going through the week you discover are not that bad. You did survive them, you did a damn good job taking care of yourself and now you can look at it with all the gifts that it was giving you and how you have overcome or I have overcome from those pains.

How has your perspective on your past pains changed after this week?

It just forged me to be even a better person, so now I no longer have to carry the pains. I can let them go now that I get to see all the good that it has done for me and where I can go from here is they won't limit me anymore. After this week, I can accomplish quite a bit more.
