The interview

Could you introduce yourself and where you are from?

My name is Daniella Penhaskashi. I'm from Los Angeles, California.

How does this experience compare to your previous efforts in personal growth?

You know, I've been to years of therapy—over 20 years of therapy—and I thought I had processed so many things, but after 40 Years of Zen, you realize it's like a fast forward speed version of that in a week of your brain processing what you're actually speaking and feeling.

What makes the 40 Years of Zen process different from just talking about problems?

It's incorporating your brain into that process, and not just speaking and talking about it, but actually shifting it in the quickest possible way I ever thought was possible.

What are you most excited about as you finish the program?

I'm most excited about entering back into my life, the same life that I had before I walked into 40 Years of Zen, with all this new perspective, this new energy that's in my body, to just see how I show up in my life in a different way.

What is the ultimate benefit of the journey you went through this week?

I feel like 40 Years of Zen makes that real, makes you be able to leave things behind that you needed to leave behind and actually be able to take one step forward into what you want in your life not just in a way that, like, 'Oh, this is possible.' but the process, gives yourself the courage to go after that.

Frequently asked

Can 40 Years of Zen help if I have already done years of therapy?

Yes. Daniella Penhaskashi had over 20 years of therapy and found that this program acted as a 'fast forward speed version' of processing that shifted her perspective in ways talking alone could not.
