The interview
What are you able to do now that you couldn't do before the program?
What I'm able to do now is just vast. I can clean my house without feeling the terrible feeling of tiredness, and I'm able to go to the swimming pool and exercise for an hour. The other day my husband and I went off-roading and I walked in front of him up a hill in order to spot him because there were some rocks. A year ago I couldn't have done that.
How has the program changed your daily life and career?
It has just been life saving this program for me. I've actually gotten my life back. I am retired but, because I'm feeling so much better, I'm actually going to start working next week. I haven't worked in years so this is absolutely fabulous.
What was your life like before working with F8 Well Center?
Before I started working with F8 Well Center, my life was terrible. I would lay on the couch all day and my husband would come home and he'd say, 'what's wrong with you?' and I'd say, 'I just don't feel well.' I was on thirteen different medications. I had so many things wrong with me, it was just unbelievable.
What was your experience with the virtual consultation process?
I have worked with F8 Well Center, virtually, the entire time. I have found it to be convenient. First of all, I didn't have to go anywhere. And this has just been perfect for my lifestyle, that I can just schedule an appointment and I can connect with the metabolic coordinator and Dr. Ben. It doesn't matter where you live, you can still have access to the program.
What convinced you to say 'yes' to the program?
What made me say 'yes' was Dr. Ben explaining things to me about your body and the different systems that you have and you have to treat each one independently in order to have your body work together like it should. All of your systems need to be in align, and mine were not. Definitely were not. The labs were terrible.
Did you have any hesitations before starting?
If there was anything that would have made me hesitate to start the program, was the initial cost. However, there was a plan that they had through a company that would actually finance it, and it was just a monthly payment for me.
How did your previous experience with Western medicine compare?
Things I've tried previously that didn't work for me were the typical western medicine. My particular primary care doctor, every time I would go in there, he would send me off to some specialist somewhere. I had so many doctors, I would get confused even where their offices were. And so many prescriptions, and the doctors didn't even know what the other doctor was doing.
What surprised you most about working with F8 Well Center?
What surprised me the most was the one-on-one that I did receive. My metabolic coordinator, Shauna, is always available to me, which is very, very helpful. So I had that connection and it has really made a huge difference to me.
