Hi, my name is Dan Higgins. I live in Manhattan Beach, California.

What are you most excited about regarding your experience here?

I'm most excited because I think I'm going to be able to keep this euphoric high with me, and maybe forever. Because it's not just a feeling that I've generated with this week here, it is a process in which I can now replicate.

What specific tools did you gain during the program?

I have the tools to step back and reset and look at things and see the gifts and appreciate the gifts and use love to forgive, those tools are right there in front of me, they're very simple pretty straightforward, I can master it, it's not rocket science.

How do you think this will change your interactions with others?

I feel like I'm going to be in a great spot to truly touch people in a new way.

How would you describe the impact of 40 Years of Zen using a metaphor?

I equate 40 Years of Zen to the character in the movie, It's a Wonderful Life, of Clarence the angel. I came here as George Bailey standing on that bridge, looking over, thinking about all the terrible things that have happened, and I came here and I'm going out with the gratitude that George Bailey or Jimmy Stewart has at the end of that movie.

What would you say to someone considering this program?

If you want that type of transformation to have that type of appreciation, gratitude and really see your life for what it is because it is a wonderful life, that's what 40 Years of Zen is.
