The interview

Can you introduce yourself and your business background?

My name is Elizabeth Montgomery, and I am the president of Interlangua LLC, which has been operating since 2005. We first brought language to the desktop before Skype and switched into some educational training and development. And my focus now is on career education.

What specific problem led you to seek out Cobblestone Consulting?

It was during COVID, and we decided to make an app, and that became very problematic. We had the wireframe and everything, but we didn't know what to do because they needed all of the data in one organized storyboard.

Why did you ultimately choose to work with Cobblestone over other companies?

I researched quite a bit. I even paid my web designer to research for me, and we came up with a series of different companies. But with Cobblestone, it was meeting Lori, actually, for the first time, and I felt a real connection with her energy, her professionalism, and her vibe coding.

What has the experience been like working with the Cobblestone team during the project?

The Cobblestone team during the project has been ultra-professional. They are highly organized and can really create a team environment, and we felt embraced by that. They also give a lot of feedback immediately and very honestly about what they're seeing and how they would approach something that we have started.

How did their expertise change your approach to your product?

That was really critical because they weren't just taking what we had and putting it in. They were actually helping us internally design it into the system. Since working with Cobblestone, they have definitely helped us when it came time to make a big pivot. So after many months of working together, then we decided to go to SCORM, which was the advice in the first place.

What impact has Cobblestone had on your business goals and launch timeline?

That has been really a great experience because now we are getting them those storyboards, and they're just implementing it and helping us set it up so that we can reach our launch goal, which has kind of always been extended since we've started. But now we're on track because of Cobblestone.

Who would you recommend Cobblestone to and why?

I would recommend Cobblestone to people who are just starting out with putting their work into an LMS. That person that you need to help you get started and really learn it quickly so that your team can learn it, you can work together with them, and pretty soon your understanding evolves because they have that team approach.

What is the primary business value you've gained from this partnership?

Working with Cobblestone has really been able to help my business focus on the most important things we need to get done and reduce our costs by working ahead of time and giving them the finished product so that they can help us implement it and go to market.

Frequently asked

How do I choose the right learning and development consultant for an LMS project?

Elisabeth Montgomery recommends researching multiple firms and even hiring a web designer to vet options. She chose Cobblestone Consulting because of a personal connection with Lori's professional energy and their ability to provide honest, immediate feedback on product design.

Can a consultant help if my LMS launch date keeps getting extended?

Yes, Montgomery noted that while their launch goal had been constantly extended, they are now 'on track because of Cobblestone.' The team helped them pivot to SCORM and implement storyboards efficiently to meet deadlines.

What is the benefit of a team-based approach in eLearning development?

According to Montgomery, Cobblestone creates a 'team environment' that makes the client feel embraced. This collaborative approach allowed her team to learn the system quickly and evolve their understanding of the infrastructure.

And we really have hit it off since then, and my team has always enjoyed working with her and her team. The Cobblestone team during the project has been ultra-professional. They are highly organized and can really create a team environment, and we felt embraced by that. They also give a lot of feedback immediately and very honestly about what they're seeing and how they would approach something that we have started, and maybe that helped us get a, a little bit different insight into how to put our product into the LMS. And so that was really critical because they weren't just taking what we had and putting it in. They were actually helping us, uh, internally design it into the system. Since working with Cobblestone, they have definitely helped us when it came time to make a big pivot.
