The interview

What was your health situation before starting the program?

I had breast cancer five years ago and just got a new breast cancer diagnosis. I was working really hard, having trouble sleeping, having a lot of stress, and dealing with seasonal affective disorder. I was really, really low energy, sometimes drinking coffee all day to try to keep going, and struggling with a positive attitude.

What made you decide to join Living Proof Institute?

I saw a webinar with Sachin and Dipa on 'not taking Ozempic.' Most of the message was familiar to me, but suddenly it was just time. I realized I needed to put myself in somebody else's hands because being my own doctor was not working very well.

What was your initial impression of the program requirements?

At first, it seemed like I'm not going to be able to survive on this small amount of food. But I understood the biology of what they're doing so I was willing to do it. Having a coach I was talking to every day who was giving me feedback and celebrating my wins was huge.

How did you find the transition to the maintenance phase?

I just shifted to the maintenance phase this week. It's been a new psychological challenge, but I've got all my habits, my resources, my containers, and my scale. I just appreciate all the support.

What specific health improvements have you noticed?

My digestion has gone through a pretty remarkable change that I could not understand, and that's been really impressive. I'm sleeping a lot better. I also noticed I have a lot less joint pain.

What is your opinion on the quality of the program materials?

I want to say that the quality of the materials that they provided was extremely high quality and very surprising. Everything is top quality.

Would you recommend this program to others?

I absolutely will use it in my own practice at some point because this is so sensible, so balanced, so based on science, and it offers so much support for people. It's a great program.

I had breast cancer five years ago. I just got a new breast cancer diagnosis. So this was like the perfect thing to do to get ready. For me, this is like the launch of my next 10 years. It's just part of, like, the next 10 years of my life, the next 10 years of my practice, the next 10 years of everything. And so, this felt like a real new starting place... starting from a really great place. I'm Laura Christensen. I'm in Iowa City, Iowa. I was working really hard. I was having trouble sleeping from time to time. I was having a lot of stress. I was dealing with some seasonal affective disorder because the winter was starting here. I was just really, really low energy. Sometimes just drinking coffee all day to try to keep going. And I was really, kind of, overwhelmed with my responsibilities and struggling with keeping a positive attitude. It was hard. And, of course, I've tried a lot of different things for my health, being a practitioner. I found myself like, taking this and that and trying different things all the time. So, it's been like that for quite a while. I saw a webinar with Sachin and Dipa and it was on 'not taking Ozempic.' and it was really interesting to be able to observe the two of them in their home environment. And most of the message that they were delivering was familiar to me but suddenly it was just time. I realized I needed to put myself in somebody else's hands. Clearly, being my own doctor was not working very well. I just felt a good feeling about it. So, I went ahead and invested. Well, at first, it seemed like... I'm not going to be able to survive on this small amount of food. But I understood exactly what they were doing. I understand the biology of what they're doing so I was like, 'ok I'm willing to do it.' And I think that having a coach that I was, like, talking to every day, who was giving me feedback, was huge. Like, somebody accountable and somebody who was super, super supportive and really celebrating my wins. I haven't been feeling that supported by very many other programs I've done. So, I also have done a lot of different weight loss strategies - Keto and Paleo and you know, every different thing. So, I already was familiar with how to prep meals and how to make sure that I take my lunch every day and I already had a food scale. So, it was pretty easy for me to just do what they say. Don't wonder why, just do what they say. I knew that what they were doing was going to work at that. And I also knew that their integration of working on the HPA axis was critical for this and that it was probably the missing piece of why I haven't been successful in prior programs. So, it wasn't really that hard and I actually just shifted to the, I guess it's called maintenance phase this week. And it's been interesting because, you know, it's like, kind of a new psychological challenge. I've got all my habits, I've got all my resources, I've got my containers and I got my scale and so I just appreciate all the support. I want to also say that the quality of the materials that they provided was extremely high quality and very surprising. Well, one thing is my digestion has gone through a pretty remarkable change that I could not understand. And that's been really impressive. I'm sleeping a lot better. In the early stages of the program, if I went and worked out, I would just be so exhausted the next day or even that day. And I also learned that I shouldn't walk too far. I have a couple of greyhounds. I like to walk. But what I noticed was I have a lot less joint pain. They asked me if I wanted to purchase this program and use it in my own practice. I absolutely will at some point because this is so sensible, so balanced, so based on science and it offers so much support for people. So, yeah, It's a great program. It's reasonable, it works and everything is top quality.
