My life before 40 Years of Zen was frankly not centered. I was constantly in a state of anxiety and reactive. In short, I was full of self doubt and feeling overwhelmed. How did you decide to trust this process?
So much of trying anything, taking that leap of faith comes down to trust and confidence and the person who is inviting you. I've known Dave for quite some time, and I respect and trust his work. He had seen in me a struggle. He was quick to recognize him reach into his Saint Bernard bag few supplements and remedies to at least help, stabilize me. But he could see the brain fog. He could see the anxiety and the fact that I was overwhelmed.
What were the underlying issues you were facing?
I definitely told him that there was a few traumatic events and that triggered a number health ailments and autoimmunes and imbalanced gut biome.
What was your favorite part of the week?
My favorite part of the week without question was the opportunity to share a space of vulnerability with people that I quickly grew to know and trust and respect, who held space for me in the same way that I could for them. The magic is you're going through it together with a certain level of ambiguity.

You truly here to be present. You lose all sense of time. It remove your watches. You remove all of your connectivity to the world, no cellphones, no electronics. You're in the moment, and as such, finally get to reconnect with yourself.
