The interview

What were your primary symptoms before coming to bVital?

My main symptom was freezing of gait. And my voice was going away, I was losing my voice very quickly. My handwriting was horrible, I couldn't even write anything. And that was my three main symptoms. My voice, my handwriting and my freezing of gait.

What other treatments had you tried previously?

Well, I've been through voice lessons and I do voice exercises every day. Just practice my handwriting. And then my freezing of gait, I've tried everything. I've been in PT for years now and I do Rock Steady Boxing and I do yoga twice a week.

What was the turning point that made you decide to work with Dr. Eckel?

We were talking to him, he said, 'you can't really afford to keep living like you're living.' And that was true, I couldn't. My voice was going away and I really like to communicate, I like to be socialized. So, that was really the breaking point. I said, 'yes, you're right, we can't afford to NOT do this.'

How did you overcome the financial barrier of the treatment?

I overcame the cost because I just recently got a disability settlement and it was exactly the same amount as a regeneration camp. So I thought it was God talking to me, telling me I needed to go.

What specific improvements did you notice after your first VSEL treatment?

After working with Dr. Eckel, my voice improved a lot. I was interviewed right after I had my first VSEL treatment and I was surprised at how loud and clear I was. When we got back home, our friends all commented on how well they could hear me. And then my handwriting has improved a little bit. It was atrocious beforehand, and it's improved a lot. My freezing of gait isn't completely gone but I am seeing some improvements.

How would you describe the environment and staff at bVital?

Dr. Eckel, he's very personable, was very down to earth and he was very approachable. And I love the positive environment out there, all the wellness stuff. Very friendly, very welcoming, very comfortable. Made me feel very comfortable in everything that we did.

What is your mindset now regarding your health journey?

My overall mindset is, I can beat this. I can be one of his success stories. I would tell others they need to go. They need to experience it and they really need to give it a try.

Frequently asked

Is the cost of bVital's regeneration camp worth it for Parkinson's?

Ann Bennett initially faced concerns about the cost, but realized she could not afford to keep living with declining speech and mobility. She decided to invest in the treatment after receiving a disability settlement that covered the exact cost of the regeneration camp.
