The interview

Can you introduce yourself and your company?

I'm Autumn Lamb. I am the Director of Marketing and Brand Strategy for GSP North America. We are an automotive aftermarket manufacturer. We manufacture undercar solutions such as driveline, wheel hubs, knuckle hubs, loaded struts, ride control, and steering and suspension.

What business needs led you to seek out training solutions?

I think one of the needs when we decided that we needed training was just that our customer base continued to grow. And we wanted to be able to have an aligned message that allows us to train partners and be able to not just sell the GSP brand, but also tell the story about the GSP brand.

Why did you choose to work with Cobblestone Consulting?

One of the things that stood out about Cobblestone Consulting was that I met Laurie at a conference and further from there, we ended up exploring options and talking about her company and kind of some of the things that she's been able to assist with, especially with the automotive industry specifically.

What has your experience been like working with the Cobblestone team?

One of the great experiences that I've had with the Cobblestone team is the fact that their team is always on it. As a company, they are always aligned and very supportive and thorough with the quality of work that they do bring to the table. So it really makes it hands off, but a little bit easy and digestible.

How would you describe their project management style?

Overall, project management, I think, is very aligned and in sync. They have a very routine and structured management style, which allows it to be very easily accessible, but also too understandable. So even if you maybe aren't touch pointing every single piece of the project, you do understand what steps they take.

What is the long-term value of this partnership for GSP North America?

Cobblestone allows us to continue to grow in a way that aligns with the needs of where we're at and where we would like to be. It allows us to continue to improve and refine some of the projects and the learning objectives and how we teach our customers and partners, or allows them to understand some of the information that we want to provide in an achievable manner.

Frequently asked

Does Cobblestone Consulting have experience in the automotive industry?

Yes. Autumn Lamb specifically noted that she explored options with Laurie after learning about the assistance Cobblestone has provided specifically within the automotive industry.

How involved do I need to be in the training development process?

Autumn Lamb described the experience as 'hands off' and 'easy,' noting that Cobblestone's thorough project management allows you to understand the steps even if you aren't touching every piece of the project.

Can Cobblestone help if my team lacks internal educational expertise?

According to Autumn Lamb, Cobblestone makes the process 'digestible' even for those not fully knowledgeable about the education side, allowing clients to lean into Cobblestone's external expertise.

Hi, I'm Autumn Lamb. I am the Director of Marketing and Brand Strategy for GSB North America. We are an automotive aftermarket manufacturer. We manufacture undercar solutions such as driveline, wheel hubs, knuckle hubs, loaded struts, ride control, and steering and suspension. So we manufacture a complete solution for the undercar components. I think one of the needs when we decided that we needed training was just that our customer base continued to grow. And we wanted to be able to have an aligned message that allows us to train partners and be able to not just sell the GSP brand, but also tell the story about the GSP brand. It is making sure that we are confidently selling it and that they're confident in what kind of product they're putting and giving to their customers. One of the things that stood out about Cobblestone Consulting was that I met Laurie at a conference and further from there, we ended up exploring options and talking about her company and kind of some of the things that she's been able to assist with, especially with the automotive industry specifically. One of the great experiences that I've had with the Cobblestone team is the fact that their team is always on it. As a company, they are always aligned and very supportive and thorough with the quality of work that they do bring to the table. So it really makes it hands off, but a little bit easy and digestible, even if you're not fully knowledgeable about the education side of things. I think lessons learned are a good opportunity to reflect on improvements. And so one of the biggest things from just even the internal ways that I look at my department is when we identify improvements, it allows us to grow. And as we move forward, identifying the ways that we can either make things more efficient or continue to grow. The project allows us to do our jobs a little bit easier. Overall, project management, think, is very aligned and in sync. They have a very routine and structured management style, which allows it to be very easily accessible, but also too understandable. So even if you maybe aren't touch pointing every single piece of the project, you do understand what steps they take. And it's a very thorough project management aspect. I think one of the biggest things is we can identify our needs, but a lot of times it's the overall management of what we're looking for. It allows you to ensure that the deliverables of what is being valued and what's being structured are being provided at the end of the day. And then also, too is your involvement. Most of the times we look for expertise outside of what we have because we need their expertise. So we want to lean into that value and you can really see that with the cobblestone team.
