The interview
What surprised you most about Serenity Health Care Center?
What surprised me the most about Serenity was that someone really believed in taking care of people through supplements and vitamins and only drugs if you really need it. And that's the way Deb is. She doesn't prescribe anything you don't need.
What was your life like before coming to Serenity?
My life before going to Serenity Health Care was a continuous battle with doctors that really didn't care. He wasn't giving me the proper examinations because of being a 'senior citizen.' I have been struggling with - you name it. But there was just something that was not releasing what I needed to do other than starving myself, going to the gym, beating my brains out - whatever.
How did you find out about Dr. Deb Muth?
I walked into my organic market and I talked to the owner and said, 'I'm just getting fed up with doctors. Isn't there anybody out there you could recommend that has a healthy alternative?' She says, 'Yeah, Deb Muth.' And that was back in 2006.
What specific treatments have you received at the center?
Between bioidentical hormones that she helped prescribe through a compounded pharmacy up to now - the weight loss, where I started back in June.
Why did you choose Serenity for your weight loss journey?
The reason I went that direction at Serenity is they had on their website one of the nurses talking about GLP-1, which I was kinda researching but I wasn't sure about the safety side of it. I saw that website and I saw Deb also speaking about it, and I went, 'now I know this is a safe way to go.' The 'winner, winner, chicken dinner' for me was, Deb Muth was on this herself.
What were your actual weight loss results?
When I went to her back in June, I weighed 206 pounds. And my result today after going there now down to 163 pounds. And so whatever I lose now to the very end, I'm very happy with.
What is the plan for maintaining your results?
They've already advised me on - Okay, starting in January, we're gonna start cutting your tincture down, your prescription down. This is the safe protocol to use that you're still gonna keep losing some weight and then your body will just slowly, 'I'm done with this.' And I'm here without creating a shock to the body.
