I interviewed other surgeons in the area to see who was best suited for my needs. I looked at research, patient testimonials, reviews on platforms like Better Self, his gallery work, and his background in research and medicine to ensure he had the right certifications.

What were your primary concerns before the procedure?

I was very much worried about having complications or a botched procedure because complications can be life-threatening. I also worried about having a surgeon that wasn't compatible with my overall goals.

What was your experience with Dr. Gould's staff?

His team was very communicative, supportive, and empathetic. Some team members had actually received the same procedures from him and were able to share their literal experiences, which made me feel trusting.

Haley (00:00) felt like Dr. Gould was very and was very confident in his understanding of, yep, I know exactly kind of, where you want to head towards and we'll help get you am from California and I do graphic design. Through just talking and interviewing with other surgeons and kind of getting a feel for what surgeons in the area were going to be the best suited for me and my needs. also looking at research of different patient testimonials, different kind of reviews that people have had and, like, his gallery work. And then also his background in his fields of research and medicine in general and making sure he has the certifications, those types of things. whenever you're looking at plastic surgery, I mean, of course, depending on what it is, but the complications are severe. They're life threatening, So it's very serious thing to think about. And I was very much worried about either having complications or having a botched procedure or having a surgeon that wasn't kind of compatible with my overall goals. Because I think that that's a component too, where it might be on the surface successful. This is a journey of a project, not just one or two things that we're going to check off. Dr. Gould is definitely in, like, the terms of medical and scientific kind of background in plastic surgery. his team also was very communicative and very supportive and empathetic. I know that also some of his team members have gotten some of the same procedures that I got from him. they were able to share their literal experiences themselves. I found reviews through things like Better Self. I think that's like the main plastic surgery review platform. And then I also found reviews that were more on direct forums that I think were more transparent and all around the reviews were very good and positive. so I felt trusting going into the experience. my body's changed a lot and it's all been for the things I've wanted. But it definitely was an intense kind of initial experience. I would say, like, the first literal 24 hours out of surgery, I was just like, okay, I've survived. I don't feel like I'm dying anytime soon right now. Like I don't have a major infection. So I was kind of just everything's fine. it's a whole healing process, So... happy with the results and I'm really glad going through this procedure. and it's just incredible what you can do in surgery. It's just insane. I feel great. I thankfully did not have any complications. I'm feeling great. I think it was very important for these procedures in particular for me. they were like bigger transformations versus just like a nip and tuck. I wanted a surgeon that I felt like understood the amount of work that it took to get to that place and the sacrifices. and understanding that this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The top kind of thing that sticks out is the responsiveness. patient of their practice, you really are able to reach out to them, especially when it comes to these types of surgeries. Beforehand, I was reaching out, asking all different kind of questions. And they were very transparent and helpful. answering all my questions about the different supplements or the different kind of protocols that they had put, like, my mind at ease and fully convinced me that like, yes, that was kind of the correct way to do things. you know, if there are problems, obviously they would be extremely responsive in those scenarios. And then also just the breadth of knowledge that all the staff have and Dr. Gould. the entire staff is very knowledgeable and seems like they you know, are close-knit group, which I like. physically I feel great. I have been back in the gym and it's been very validating of, especially with loose skin patients, it's like you're wearing a weighted vest beforehand. so now it's great because I don't have that loose skin. there could be lot of reasons why they might be nervous. always choose the surgeon that works best for you. So, like, Dr. Gold works best for me. And I think that I would recommend him and have recommended him to people. for people who have lost a lot of weight like I lost 140 pounds. There was nothing that I was going to do that was going to remove that loose skin besides surgery. And I don't regret it at all. It's changed my life. It's going to continue to change my life.
