The interview

What is your professional background and how did you test these products?

I'm Noreen Ziegler, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, graduated from Purdue University and practiced for twenty-five years specializing in pet animals and horses. I am also a certified nutritional counselor. I used bio-meridian testing and DNA samples to run these products with individual dog cases, and I was very impressed with the results in balancing the energetic systems of dogs.

What is your opinion on the formulation of Gula Life products?

I lean on Dr. Todd Rowe for his wisdom and the way he put these formulas together. He has been able to put formulas together that are very well-rounded and very effective. Sometimes you'll need a couple of them, so you can really rest assured on his expertise.

How should pet owners approach holistic wellness and these remedies?

I think the challenge for pet owners is doable. They can communicate with their conventional veterinarian, get a diagnosis and X-rays, and then connect to a holistic doctor. I love it when they do research, but I would do it as a secondary element to address signs and symptoms.

How do Gula Life products impact the canine nervous system and anxiety?

Reactivity, anxiety, and stress can impact a dog's immune system, digestive tract, and whole personality. I have found Gula homeopathic remedies to be an excellent formulation for reactivity and calming. It is a phenomenal remedy for directing the healing process at the level of signs and symptoms.

What is your experience with the Fresh product for oral health?

The Fresh product is one that I have not used a lot in practice simply because I see it most and I recommend it as a preventative. If there is a definite oral issue, that's got to be seen by the veterinarian, but it's an excellent preventative.

How do these remedies help with aging dogs and musculoskeletal issues?

When I'm looking for something to target specific signs such as stiffness and joint issues, homeopathic is a great add-on. You can give the remedy every hour or every fifteen minutes if a dog comes up lame while hiking and do no harm.

What can you tell us about the Shield product?

The Shield product uses a base ingredient of colloidal silver from Deseret Biologicals, which is a renowned product. It is an absolute go-to for mild infections and mild wounds, and you can use it topically or orally.

Frequently asked

Are Gula Life formulas safe to use frequently for active dogs?

Yes, Dr. Noreen Ziegler notes that for issues like stiffness or lameness while hiking, you can administer the remedy every hour or even every fifteen minutes and 'do no harm.'

How effective are Gula Life's specific formulations for complex symptoms?

Dr. Ziegler found that the formulas are well-rounded; for example, elements in the 'Calm' product helped address areas of a lameness problem that the 'Free' product alone might not have covered.

Can Gula Life products replace a traditional veterinary diagnosis?

Dr. Ziegler emphasizes that these products should be a secondary element or add-on; she requires a conventional diagnosis and tests like X-rays before using these therapies to address signs and symptoms.

So as I mentioned earlier, I am semi-retired, but I still do energetic testing. It is a bio meridian testing, a meridian stress assessment, and that's how I ran all these products and did a lot of testing with individual dogs, with cases. I used DNA sample, and I run a lot of that, and I was very impressed with my results on these products being able to balance the energetic systems of dogs. And I am honestly, I am not, uh, formally trained in homeopathy, but I have found that we have an amazing formulator with these products. And I lean on Dr. Todd Rowe for his wisdom and the way he put these formulas together, because I could literally be testing a lameness problem on a dog and be able to find that the free product was very beneficial. But guess what? There were elements in the calm product that helped equally in different areas because there is no... Really, that's how I look at signs and symptoms. They are very... There's not just a clear-cut answer in many cases. So Dr. Rowe has been able to put formulas together that are very well-rounded and very effective. Sometimes you'll need a couple of them, so you can really rest assured on his expertise. I'm Noreen Ziegler, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine and practiced for twenty-five years, specializing in pet animals and horses. I also became a certified nutritional counselor, and so I continue to pursue that practice as well, helping people and pets reaching their optimum health goals. So I feel nowadays with the internet and with so much input, I think pet owners really, they have a lot of great ideas. They get a lot of advice, but advice is quite scattered and quite unpredictable and possibly inaccurate. So I think the biggest problem or the challenge for pet owners is definitely doable. I think they can communicate with their conventional veterinarian, their holistic veterinarian, get a diagnosis, run the tests, get the information, and then certainly do some searching. But I really feel to get connected to a holistic doctor, and, and like myself, I do consulting. I am retired from practice, but I do consulting. But I do require that you have already seen your conventional doctor with the tests done, the X-rays done, the diagnosis in place, and then we can start to pursue some additional therapies addressing signs and symptoms. And just that's how I would encourage pet owners to be very responsible. I love it when they do research and homework, but that's how I would do it as a secondary element. As far as the nervous system, that's actually pretty interesting because that is my area of focus, the nervous system and the immune system. So as far as the nervous system, there is a lot of problems with dogs. We'll specifically talk about dogs, but with reactivity, anxiety, stress, and that can impact their immune system, their digestive tract, and just their whole personality. It can really cause some health issues, so I think it's a very, very important. I think it's foundational, absolutely foundational to the well-being of a dog. So when dogs are suffering with anxiety, stress, reactivity, it impacts their entire body, and I think in many ways, what they'll start to show is just a progression and get worse and worse and worse. And that robs them of a quality of life, and it, and it certainly impacts the family. So what I have found with the Gula homeopathic remedies is an excellent formulation for the reactivity, the calming. You certainly have to use more of it more often. Again, I can't... I, I always have to be totally honest, and I address even a deeper level on some of the reactivity and stuff working with the vagus nerve. And then what I have found absolutely invaluable is the tip of the iceberg, so to speak, or the actual signs and symptoms and using the homeopathics to best direct the healing process. So it's a phenomenal remedy. So the Fresh product is one that I have not used a lot in practice simply because I see it most and I recommend it as a preventative. If I have a definite oral issue, that's got to be seen by the veterinarian. There's usually additional things that need to be taking place, but it's an excellent preventative. So as dogs age and have stiffness, in my profession, and I am unique in the sense that I was also trained after veterinary school for chiropractic and acupuncture, and then, like I said, it's focusing now on the vagus nerve and overall nervous system and musculoskeletal health, I'll use a lot of other things. I'll encourage people to see a holistic veterinarian that can employ some of those practices, laser therapies, LED. But again, when I'm looking for something to then really target specific signs and symptoms such as stiffness, joint issues, musculoskeletal issues, homeopathic is a great add-on to address those problems. And then absolutely at home, be able to give that remedy every hour, even every fifteen minutes if you're out hiking and somebody... and the dog comes up lame a little bit. You can absolutely do that and do no harm. But I don't want to be remiss in saying that it, it is important to have a veterinarian diagnose something that's ongoing. So the Shield product is something that I have been using a form of that in the practitioners division for many, many years. I would have to say twenty years. And I use it for infection prevention, so at that realm. I haven't had a lot of experience with the actual Shield product, but with that base ingredient, it's a colloidal silver. Deseret Biologicals is an amazing asset in that division, and it's a renowned product. So again, for subtle problems, I totally... That is an absolute go-to for mild infections, mild wounds. You can use it topically or orally, and it's a great product. It really is.
