Brittney Creekmore successfully used Dr. Ana-Maria Temple’s Eczema Transformation Program to treat her daughter June’s head-to-toe eczema. After traditional steroids and antihistamines failed, the program’s focus on gut health and weekly provider support led to June being discharged from the program with clear skin and a manageable long-term wellness plan.

The interview

What was your life like before working with the Eczema Transformation Program?

My life was stressful. My daughter June was diagnosed with eczema when she was about 4.5 to 5 months old. By the time we started the program at seven months, I was up every single night googling, trying to figure out what to do to help her. She had eczema everywhere, head to toe, and nobody would really help us other than throwing a steroid cream at us.

How did you find the program and were you hesitant to start?

I found the eczema program through a Google search and saw lots of good reviews and testimonies with pictures. Cost was the only thing that made us hesitant and made us stop and think for a minute, but we were willing to try anything at that point.

What other treatments had you tried previously?

We saw our pediatrician, who put her on topical steroids and oral antihistamines, both of which weren't doing much. We were also referred to a dermatologist who prescribed another topical steroid, and we saw an allergist as well.

What surprised you most about working with the program?

The amount of support. You feel very alone and isolated as an eczema parent, but everything was laid out very straightforward. They tell you exactly what to do and support you along the way; we were never in the dark.

What is your life like now after completing the program?

Our life now is great. June is now discharged from the eczema program. She has a couple of flares here and there, but we know how to manage it. She's still on the backside of the gut health program, but she's doing very well overall.

Would you recommend this program to others?

I would recommend the Eczema Transformation Program to anyone struggling with eczema, whether it's a kiddo or an adult. The support alone is a big reason, as you meet weekly with health coaches and providers. Also, they walk you through how eczema starts from within the gut, which is not something my daughter's pediatrician, allergist, or dermatologist ever taught me.

Was there a specific turning point in the treatment?

A big turning point for us was starting the Doctor Arons cream, which is something you learn about in the program. We were tentative about it at first, as were other parents, but it was a big turning point on top of everything we were doing with her gut health.

Frequently asked

Is the Eczema Transformation Program worth the cost?

Brittney Creekmore noted that while the initial cost made her family stop and think, she now considers it 100% worth the investment. She stated she would pay it again because of the significant healing her daughter achieved.

How does Dr. Ana-Maria Temple's approach differ from a pediatrician?

According to Brittney, traditional providers only offered topical steroids and antihistamines without explaining the root cause. Dr. Ana-Maria Temple’s program taught her that eczema starts within the gut and provided weekly access to health coaches and providers.

What is the support like in the Eczema Transformation Program?

Brittney highlighted the weekly meetings with providers and health coaches, as well as active community forums. She felt supported throughout the process, contrasting it with the lack of guidance she received from her daughter's previous pediatrician.

Full transcript

Speaker 0: Hi, I'm Brittany Crickmore, I'm from Omaha, Nebraska. So my life before working with the eczema transformation program was stressful, I guess is the best word. My daughter June was diagnosed with eczema. She was about 4.5, five months old, so little. And then by the time we started with the program, she was probably seven months or so. So there was a couple months in between there that I just was up every single night googling, trying to figure out what to do to help her. She had eczema everywhere, head to toe, and nobody would really help us other than throwing a steroid cream at us was about all we got. We did try that, but even that wasn't helping. So I would say the best word to describe before starting is stressful. So I found the eczema program through a Google search, and there was lots of good reviews online. Just looking just a quick Google search, I immediately found lots of good reviews. And that at that point, honestly, we were willing to try anything and just there was a few pictures that I found online with testimonies. So from the get go, was willing to try and jump into it. Things that would have made me hesitant with starting the program, I would say cost is a big one. That's something we definitely needed. We had to consider before starting. Otherwise, that's about the only thing that kind of made us stop and think just for a minute. But honestly, when your kiddo is going through what you went through, like, we were willing to pay anything at that point. So we went forward. Sure. So things we have tried, we tried before starting the eczema program. We saw our pediatrician. She put our daughter on a steroid, topical steroid, and then oral and histamines, both of which weren't doing much. Also referred us to a dermatologist who also prescribed a topical steroid, and then we also saw an allergist as well. So the thing that shocked me or surprised me the most about working with the eczema program is the amount of support. I think I can speak for all eczema parents. You just feel very alone and isolated. So from the get go, was, I mean, we were, we felt very welcome just walking through how the program worked and then everything's just laid out very straightforward. They tell you exactly what to do and support you along the way. So we never were in the dark about anything. So our life now is great, honestly. June is now discharged from the eczema program, which is great. It was honestly kind of a hard transition because I was so used to the support we were getting. Not that we need it so much now, but June's doing very well. She has a couple flares here and there, but we know how to manage it. And she's still on the of the backside of the gut health program still, but she's doing very well. Overall, the eczema program was, I'd say, 100% worth the investment. I don't even give it a second thought. The amount of money that we paid in the beginning, it was It was worth it. I would do it again. No, we were not part of the low dose allergen. No. So I would recommend the eczema transformation program to anyone struggling with eczema, whether it's a kiddo or an adult. Number one, with the amount of support that you get, you get to meet weekly with the health coaches and then also with the providers. And you post in the forums, you can ask whatever question whenever and they'll answer it and give you guidance from there. That alone was huge for me versus messaging my daughter's pediatrician all the time and barely getting much from it other than I don't know, which is frustrating. So the support alone is a big reason I would recommend. And then they also walk you through how eczema comes. It starts from within, from the gut, which is not something that I knew and not something that my daughter's pediatrician, the allergist, or the dermatologist went over with me, or maybe even teaches, you know. So that was a big shocker to me, I guess. And then it just kind of helped us shift gears on how to get her on track for healing versus just throwing a topical like all the providers before did. And I really don't think we'd be where we are today without that. Things to add. So from part of the eczema program is you get to meet with the providers online once a week, and you get to listen to other people's testimonies and their questions and things too, which gives you a lot of insight onto how other people are feeling. But one thing I would say, we were very tentative about starting Doctor. Aaron's, which is something that you would learn more about in the program. But I found that most other parents were also very scared about it. And that honestly, that was a big turning point for us was starting the Doctor. Erin's cream and then on top of everything we were doing with her gut health. I'm not sure we could have managed everything as well as we did without it. So that would be my one tip to parents is to listen to your providers and your health coaches. And if they're recommending something, it's for a reason and you should at least give it a shot. Yes. Sure.
