“How do you find that product market fit in the biohacking field... is something which I wanted to maybe hear and see that I'm not alone in this journey.”
“You'll meet people who are just ready to help you, they don't need anything in return and that will inspire you to a limit that you won't be able to get through any podcast.”
The interview
Can you introduce yourself and your business?
Hi, my name is Bhavya and I'm from New Delhi, India. I'm the CTO and the co-founder of a startup called Neuphony where we create wireless EEG devices. We have also been partnering with practitioners and meditators to teach their clients how to improve and show them quantitative results.
What is the current direction of your product development?
Right now we are pivoting more towards how we can figure out a headphone or a device which can help you be more focused, be more present. So right now we call it The Focus. For the last two to two and a half years we've been selling the device, the cap and the headband.
What specific challenges were you hoping to address at this event?
A technology working and people adopting are extremely different things. You will find a lot of things which you'll find in any business conference, but how do you find that product market fit in the biohacking field and what are the challenges that other people are also facing, is something which I wanted to hear and see that I'm not alone in this journey.
Did the event meet your expectations?
I can say that with 100% confidence that I have found what I was looking for. Being in a space like this you learn how much people are relying on connecting with each other. You'll never realize how easy things can be.
What was your biggest takeaway regarding collaboration?
The minute you say that 'This is what I know, I know that you know this, let's figure out a way how we can make work together and collaborate,' this is something that I've learned in two days. Seeing people who have made their businesses out of this approach gives you a different kind of confidence.
How would you describe the community at the event?
If you come here, you'll find people, you'll meet people who are just ready to help you, they don't need anything in return and that will inspire you to a limit that you won't be able to get through any podcast, any video, or anything sitting at your home.
