The interview
How does the branding of the GetHealthy platform affect patient trust?
The platform is branded to the doctor, so it looks like me and has my URL. People know they're in the right place. It gives them a nice safe place where they can go and be like, 'Hey, if it's on Dr. Tracey's store, I know she'd recommend it for me,' and they can purchase it safely.
What is your professional background and how did you discover GetHealthy?
I'm a naturopathic doctor by trade and have been in the industry around 27 years. I met Jon Armstrong, the founder and CEO, through a brand I was working for that onboarded onto the catalog. I thought the software and ECOM platform he developed were amazing because it was a store and a dispensary all in one place.
How did the platform change the way you operate your practice?
It really revolutionized my practice. It took me from a brick-and-mortar mindset to an online digital creator, which I had never been before. It gave me the opportunity to touch more people and get product into their hands so they could have really good health outcomes.
What were the specific operational benefits regarding inventory and shipping?
Some of our holdbacks as practitioners are that we don't like to carry a lot of product or ship product. This saved me on cost of goods and allowed for a platform where people could order and I could dispense. It increased my patient compliancy and amplified my income stream because I didn't have to box and ship products.
What makes the dispensary and e-script tool unique for lifestyle practitioners?
It's multi-product category, so I'm talking about nutrition, hydration, movement, and sleep. I can script test courses, supplements, nutrition plans, and personal care items all in one link. It helps my clients get what they need with notes and dosage recommendations in one click, rather than following a million affiliate links.
Who would you recommend this platform to?
It's definitely for the practitioner that not only wants to do in-clinic or virtual consultations, but those who want to go from one-to-one to one-to-many and start with webinars and education. I would recommend they do a demo to see if it fits their scale, which 98% of the time, they are ready for.
Frequently asked
How can I manage supplement sales without carrying physical inventory?
Dr. Tracey Stroup notes that GetHealthy.store allowed her to stop boxing and shipping products herself. This saved her on the cost of goods and solved the problem of limited office space by providing a wide variety of offerings without needing to stock a single SKU.
Will my patients trust an online store over a physical clinic?
According to Dr. Stroup, the platform is branded to the specific doctor, including a custom URL. This ensures patients know they are in a 'safe place' where they are buying quality products specifically recommended by their practitioner.
Can I sell more than just supplements through GetHealthy.store?
Yes, Dr. Stroup highlights that the platform is multi-product category. Practitioners can script test courses, nutrition plans, personal care items, and hydration tools all in one link, rather than sending clients to multiple affiliate sites.
