The interview

What is the community culture like at H7 Network?

The community of H7 is a family. People sit and truly listen and they don't try to 'pitch slap' you; if they do, they're discouraged from doing it. They've been very supportive of everything I've done with my business with a servant's heart, rather than asking 'what's in it for me?'

What was your professional situation when you joined H7?

I am a leadership coach disguised as a nutritionist and the owner of Pro Attitudes. H7 came on my radar during COVID when I started my business. I found that nobody really knew how to network online and I was disenchanted with the big networking companies that are out there.

How does H7 Network compare to other networking organizations?

I found one called Shared Connections, but H7 is like Shared Connections on steroids because the people are not transactional. I didn't feel pressured the way other networks pressure you, and I didn't feel like I had to perform. Clay built a culture of 'Connect, Serve, and Ask' that is far better than any other network.

What specific value have you received from the H7 meetings?

It's not just about growing a business; you're getting thousands of dollars worth of coaching. I get feedback from people like Dan Gordon on selling superpowers, Greg Oshorn on Tech Corner, or Lori Cartman. I've learned about AI, CRMs, and LinkedIn, which has helped me develop my company.

How has the network helped you overcome specific business obstacles?

I've had challenges with a certain development in my company, and when you reach out to people, they provide the resources that solve the problem so you get where you need to go faster. They can point out if you are going in the wrong direction so you can get off at the next stop instead of wasting time, money, and energy.

What makes the H7 methodology unique for business owners?

Clay creates the 'Connect, Serve, Ask' training and teaches you how to create champions. There are targeted meetings for coaching, consulting, and manufacturing. He always puts the people within the network family first, looking for opportunities to build us rather than just building H7.

Frequently asked

What kind of business support does H7 Network provide beyond networking?

Evan highlights that the network provides significant educational value, including training on AI, CRMs, LinkedIn, and marketing. He specifically mentions receiving feedback from experts like Dan Gordon on selling and Greg Oshorn on technology.

How does H7 Network help solve specific business challenges?

Evan explains that when he faced development challenges in his company, the H7 community provided resources that solved the problem faster. This support helps members avoid wasting time, money, and energy on the wrong business paths.

Well, the community of H7 is just that, it is a Don't even think of it as a network. I think of it as a family. And I love how we all help each other. It is so important In this day and age, when there's so much noise out there, people sit and truly listen and they don't try to pitch slap you. ⁓ They don't do that in H7 and if they do, they're discouraged from doing it. and they've been very supportive of everything that I've done with my business. It wasn't like people helped me because what's in it for me? They simply were like a servant's heart. I'm Evan Messman. I live in Huntington, New York, which is on Long Island. And I am a leadership coach disguised as a nutritionist. I'm the owner of Pro Attitudes, which really helps business owners and leaders who are climbing the ladder to success and left their health behind. I help them get back to the top of the ladder before they fall off altogether. H7 became something that was on my radar during COVID. That's when I started my business. COVID gave me the opportunity to come back to doing what I love to do, which is coaching. And I'm like, well, I got a network. And I found that nobody really knew how to network online. And I was disenchanted with a lot of the companies that were out there. I won't mention names, but everybody knows the big ones that are out there. And I found one and it was called Shared Connections. And then, when I found age I said, my gosh, this is like shared connections on steroids because the people are not transactional they really care and I didn't feel like I was being pressured the way other networks are and I also didn't feel like I had to perform. There was just something about H7 and I've been with H7 for over five years. So it was just I couldn't put my finger on it but now I can tell you it's Clay. Clay built a culture in H7 that is by far better than any other network because he developed a culture across the whole company of connect, serve and ask. And that really made all the difference in the world. I was looking for a solution And that's when I found age seven and I met Clay and I had a one-on-one with and I went to a couple of meetings. I said, this is definitely what I'm looking for. going to the meetings and meeting the different people who were in H7, they all were the kind of tribe I was looking for. These are just incredible people. They've also helped me in ways with my business as well as being there personally too. So they almost consider them friends. They are friends, These are people that you can pick up the phone and call. so much more than just somebody you met in a network. I never heard of a network that provided that kind of support. I can easily tell you all the meetings that I go to and the people who run them that provide such value. It's not just about growing a business. It's also about you're getting like thousands and thousands of dollars worth of coaching because they're providing. Feedback like Dan Gordon and selling superpowers, or Greg Oshorn and his team on Tech Corner, or Lori Cartman, where she does Corner Office and I do optimized health It's very different when you go to a networking meeting and you get a presentation and it's typically a pitch. Very different than any other network. I've had challenges with a certain development in my company. And when you reach out to people, they provide you the resources that solve the problem. So you get where you need to go faster. If you're going down the path, or like I like to say, when you get on the train going in the wrong direction, They can point it out faster, so you can get off at the next stop instead of wasting time, money, and energy. I've learned so much about AI, about CRMs, about LinkedIn. A lot that I get from H7 that goes so much beyond networking that's helped me develop my company. and I only see that the value is growing, what Clay is doing to build. The business is now and helping us. He's not just doing it to build H7; he's doing it to build us. Because that's what I love about H7: he always puts the people within the network, the family first. I get so much more value from age seven than I even think I can deliver. the trainings that you get, the one-on-one relationships, the champion development, developing your business, your marketing, your selling, and the masterminds that they do and the the targeted meetings for coaching and consulting for manufacturing, I don't think there's any other network that provides all. I don't even know how Clay does it all. It's pretty amazing that he was able to provide all that value and keep making it better. He just keeps looking at opportunities and expanding. If you've got a business, you can't go wrong with into all of the resources that H7 can provide. It's not like a networking meeting where, here's my business card, you know, you need this, you need that, no. That is not how networking works. And that's what I love about what Clay does because he creates the training, the Connect, Serve, Ask training, and then he teaches you how to create champions. think what makes H7 exceptional is the people. And not just the people that are in it, but also the people that run it. And I think that it makes a difference because that's what you want. You want everyone to be successful. and H7 is a win-win.
