The interview

What is the benefit of being around the Healthspan community?

When you're around the Healthspan community, everyone lives a lifestyle of making healthier choices. They know at the end of the day, what they're trying to do is live optimally. It's nice to be around people that think similar to you, especially when there's not anyone around me that talks the way I do.

What was your health approach before meeting Elias and discovering Healthspan?

During that time, I was doing some kind of crazy diet program. Meeting him made me realize that there's really no diet that can fix whatever we're going through. It intrigued me about all these new things about health; it's not just a fad diet or an exercise, it's really a lifestyle.

How has Healthspan changed your vision of health in midlife?

I'm in my midlife, and my clients and I talk about perimenopause and how what's happening to our body is not really normal. Healthspan expands the vision of seeing health as not just one-size-fits-all. It provides tools we can use to figure out what works for each and every one of us.

What did you learn at the events regarding longevity and biohacking?

I didn't know what longevity health or biohacking was. What intrigued me was learning about how your cells work, how your lifestyle is, and how everything ties in. It's not just diet and exercise; it's cool to see different tools and figure out what's really going on with our own health issues.

How did the Healthspan approach differ from your experience with traditional doctors?

I have perimenopause, so my hormones are off, and I didn't know that unless I got tested. Usually, at the doctors, they don't really check that. They just told me I'm 45 and it's part of life. With Healthspan, there are actually tools and people who can provide a service that helps more than just giving you the runaround.

What have you learned about weight loss through this community?

My struggle has always been with weight loss. I always thought it was just calories in, calories out, but I'm learning through the testing that I've done that there are things that need to be addressed that I didn't know of. If I didn't get tested, I wouldn't have known.

What activities take place at the Healthspan events?

They have exercise that they do together, meditation, and spirituality too. Uplifting your spirits is part of health. You could eat clean and work out, but if your spirit is not in a great mindset, it'll feel like something's not working right. It ties in mind, body, and spirit.

Would you recommend joining the Healthspan Collective?

I highly recommend it because you will step out of your comfort zone to see different things that you never knew. The community is really great, very encouraging, and very informative in learning about yourself.

Frequently asked

Can Healthspan Collective help with perimenopause symptoms when doctors say everything is normal?

Yes. Trisha Kwan noted that while her doctors dismissed her symptoms as a normal part of being 45, Healthspan Collective provided tools and services to address her specific hormonal needs through testing rather than the 'runaround' of standard care.

Is Healthspan Collective just another diet and exercise program?

No. Trisha Kwan explains that it is a lifestyle shift that moves away from the 'calories in, calories out' mentality. It focuses on how cells work, hormonal testing, and the integration of mind, body, and spirit.

What is the community like at Healthspan Collective events?

Trisha Kwan describes the community as highly motivated, driven, and encouraging. She found it valuable to be around people who share a similar 'optimal' mindset, especially when her existing social circle didn't discuss health in the same way.

Speaker 0: When you're around the health spend community, everyone lives a lifestyle of making healthier choices and maybe, yeah, they'll have their little fun, but they know at the end of the day, what is it that they're trying to do is live optimally. So I like to be around people like that because really there's not anyone around me that talks the way I do. I'm probably the craziest one that is always into her health and trying to figure things out. So it's kind of nice to be around people that kind of think similar to you. I'm Tricia Kwan, and I am from Rosemead and San Gabriel area in California. I'm a professional makeup artist and brow artist for twenty five years, and I had met Elias, and he told me a bit about his business and what they do. And during that time, I was doing some kind of crazy diet program, and meeting him made me realize that there's really no diet that can fix whatever we're going through. So it kind of intrigued me about all this new things about health. It's not just like a fad diet or an exercise that you could do. It's really a lifestyle and how he sees health overall kind of opened my eyes to health in a new way. I'm always talking to a lot of clients of mine. A lot of them are in their midlife as well as I am. All of us kind of talk about perimenopause and that what's happening to our body is not really normal and we all have different things that we go through. So I heard about Health span and what it means to me is really expanding the vision of seeing health. It's not just like a one size fits all. We're also different. So health span kind of opens that up for us where there's things and tools that we can use in our life that can help us. So we have to figure out what works for each and every one of us. When I went to his events, I didn't know what longevity health was or biohacking or any of those things. So what intrigued me is learning about how your cells work, how your lifestyle is, and how everything ties in. It's not just diet and exercise. It's just kind of cool to see all the different tools and figure out what's really going on with our own health issues. Like, I have perimenopause, right? So my hormones are kind of off and I didn't know that unless I got tested. And usually at the doctors, they don't really check that. They kind of just told me, well, you're young, so you're still 45. There's, you know, you're just gonna have to go through it and it's part of life. But with HealthSpan, it's like, no, there's actually tools and there's people who can help provide a service for you that can really help you more than just give you the runaround and be like, oh, everything is fine. What you're going through is normal. But when you're in these events, it's so motivating that a lot of these people love to feel amazing, take care of themselves. I'm totally new to the whole space, so everything I see is new to me, which is kinda cool. It's like running all over at 45. My struggle has always been with weight loss. I mean, that's pretty much a majority of everyone. Right? I always thought it was just like calories in calories out, but I'm learning through the testing that I've done. And those are just things that need to be addressed that I didn't know of. And if I didn't get tested, then I wouldn't have known. They have exercise that they do together at the events. Meditation, spirituality too. Uplifting your spirits is one of the things that's part of health. You could be like the healthiest, eat clean, working out, but if your spirit is not really in a great mindset, it'll feel like something's not working right. So it all kind of ties in together your mind, body, and spirit. All of this has kind of taught me that it's our lifestyle and how we treat ourselves. And we got to figure out what is it that makes us happy and whatever we do to make us healthy. After attending a HealthSpan event, what resonated was connecting with the people who are all on the same page of trying to find an answer of how to live an optimal, healthy life. If you're thinking about joining HealthSpend Collective, I highly recommend it because you will step out of your comfort zone to see different things that you never knew. And I guess I didn't know how passionate I was about health and wellness. Seeing everyone there, they're always so motivated and driven, and the community is really great. They all are very encouraging, and they're very informative in learning about yourself.
