The interview

What is your background and how long have you been with Infinite Aloe?

I'm Nick Arambula, originally from California and now living in Tennessee. I've been doing this about sixteen years with Infinite Aloe. Before that, I was a plumber and held other sales and managerial positions, but this has been by far the most fun.

What were your initial thoughts about commission sales?

I kinda thought, yeah, there's a lot of potential there, but maybe it's not for me. It seems like kind of a tough job where you're unsure about your paycheck.

What was your first day of selling like?

My first day selling was actually a lot easier than I thought. It was a little awkward at first trying to interact with people 'cause you're not really used to that if you're not in sales, but I quickly got over that and actually feel a lot better having gotten over it.

Why do you find the product easy to sell?

I found immediately that the product was super easy to sell 'cause the product itself is really good. It's evident in people walking by and putting it on their hands and then going, 'Hey, what is this stuff actually?' and walking back to the booth to talk to me.

What does your typical work schedule look like?

My week is actually a ten-day event. I schedule an event in Costco, which is a very busy and friendly environment, and I dedicate my time to being there open to close. After that chunk of ten days, if I don't want to schedule anything, I'm completely free to do whatever I want, like poetry or video games.

Can you share a specific success story involving a customer?

I had a young girl, nine or ten years old, struggling with severe eczema. Her mom had tried everything and was looking at expensive, high-risk treatments. I got them to try the smallest package. Eight months later at a different show, the girl showed me her skin and she had no problems at all. The mom gave me a hug and said I helped them so much.

What advice do you have for someone considering joining the company?

If you're on the fence, just erase that from your mind and just try it. Most people find that their considerations were unfounded. The potential of making money and helping people is so great that you'd be missing out if you don't at least try.

Frequently asked

Is commission-based sales a stable career choice?

Nicholas Arambula initially worried that commission sales was a tough job with an unsure paycheck. However, he found that because the product is high-quality and easy to demonstrate, the potential for making money is great.

How long does it take to see results with Infinite Aloe for eczema?

While individual results vary, Nicholas recounts a young girl with severe eczema who returned eight months after starting the product with no remaining skin problems, having avoided expensive and high-risk treatments.

Is it difficult to start selling skincare without a sales background?

Nicholas, a former plumber, found his first day easier than expected. Although he felt a little awkward interacting with people at first, he quickly got over it because the product effectively sells itself when people try it on their hands.

Well, hi, I'm Nick Arambula. I'm from California originally, now live in Tennessee. I've been doing this about sixteen years with Infinite Aloe. Before that, I was a plumber. I was in other sales positions and managerial positions. This has been by far the most fun. Before I started selling Infinite Aloe, what did I think about commission sales? I kinda thought, yeah, there's a lot of potential there, but maybe it's not for me. It seems like kind of a tough job. You're unsure about your paycheck. My first day selling was actually a lot easier than I thought. It was a little awkward at first trying to interact with people 'cause you're not really used to that if you're not in sales. But I quickly got over that, and I actually feel a lot better having gotten over that. I found immediately that the product was super easy to sell 'cause the product itself is really good. It's evident in people walking by and putting it on their hands and then going, "Hey, what is this stuff actually?" Like, walking back to the booth and then talking to me. So that was a really, really fun experience actually. My week is actually a ten-day event. So I schedule an event, and I go, and I dedicate my time to being there open to close. It's a great environment. You're in Costco. It's very, very busy. There's lots of people to talk to. It's a very friendly place to be. So my work life is sort of a chunk of ten days. After that, if I don't have anything scheduled or if I don't wanna schedule anything, I'm completely free to do whatever I want, which is poetry, video games, whatever. One moment that kinda sticks out to me was actually I had this younger girl, probably nine or ten years old, and she was struggling with severe condition of eczema. I mean, you could see in the mom's eyes they had tried everything, and they were looking at very, very expensive extreme treatments that had a high risk. And I ended up just getting the mom to buy the smallest package. You know, it was not so much a sale. It was more just like, "I really, really wanna help you. Please, please, please just try this." [chuckles] Fast forward about eight months later, I was at a different show, and this was in California, so there's a lot of Costcos in California. And this mother and daughter had tracked down the show, and this little girl kind of popped into frame, you know, and she stands there, and she's like, "Remember me? I used to have eczema all over." And then it, like, it clicked, and I was like, oh my God. She had no problems with her skin. The mom came up and gave me a hug, and she was like, "You've helped us so much. Like, you have no idea." And it was, like, a very real connection. You know, that's my job is to help people, and I actually get to impact their life. Aloe vera is known to work, so it works for so many different problems, and people are looking for the solution. So when you get to see that come back to you, it's super rewarding. If you're kind of on the fence about joining or trying it out, just erase that from your mind and just try it. It's not for everybody, but most people that just come and try to sell, they find out that all those considerations they had were really just kinda unfounded. The potential of making money and the potential of helping people is so great. You'd be missing out on an opportunity if you don't at least just try.
