The interview

Who do you work with in your business, Bold Breakthroughs?

I work with very successful entrepreneurs or leaders in the corporate world who feel something is in the way of their continued expansion and expression. I work with the inner development places that can be targeted, identified, and changed so that movement can happen.

What was the state of your business when you joined the Momentum program six years ago?

My business was stable enough, but I didn't have the foundation in place. It had grown very well by accident, but I called it a 'Swiss cheese business' because there were so many holes. I came to Momentum for the strength to build the foundation my business needed.

What was your most recent financial milestone?

My most recent milestone was in this past year when I went beyond $420,000 in new sales. I came very close to doubling my income in a year without hustle, without mega complicated launches, and I was extremely satisfied with that growth.

How has your confidence in your business sustainability changed?

Before, I wasn't absolutely certain that my income was really sustainable or that I could maintain it year after year. Now, after repeatedly experiencing the ability to sustain and grow, I don't question it. I feel I could go anywhere in the nation and start up again because I can work both locally and online in skilled ways.

What specific tools in Momentum helped you organize your business?

The road mapping and flow mapping help to organize my thinking of the different compartmental areas where I need to give attention. It’s a practical organizational framework that ensures I don't grow in a 'lopsided' way, which is how I was when I first came in.

What do you appreciate about the support and staff at Live Your Message?

I love seeing that Marisa has a coaching staff that stays. That lets me know they're happy and growing in their skills. I feel surrounded by layers of support, and the quality is evident in everything from the notebooks to the diversified programs and services.

Frequently asked

Is it possible to scale a personal development business without constant hustle?

Yes, Michelle Bongiorno achieved nearly double her income, reaching over $420,000 in sales, without relying on 'mega complicated launches' or hustle. She attributes this to working in a 'wise way' using the frameworks provided by Live Your Message.

How do I fix a business that has inconsistent systems or 'holes'?

Michelle Bongiorno described her business as 'Swiss cheese' before joining Momentum because it lacked a foundation despite being stable. She used the program's road mapping and flow mapping to organize her thinking and create a practical organizational framework.

Why should an established entrepreneur stay in a coaching program for multiple years?

Michelle believes staying for more than one year allows the company to deeply understand the business and facilitate higher levels of growth. She notes that the quality of support in Momentum makes it 'very hard to leave' once that relationship is established.

Speaker 0: Yeah, I'm Michele Bongiorno and you know when you're a very successful, either entrepreneur or a leader in the corporate world and all of a sudden things just start moving and something's in the way and you can kind of feign for a long time, you have, but all of a sudden you know that it's time to pay attention to something, that's the kind of people I work with. People who are here to offer big things in the world and something is getting in the way of their continued expansion and expression. And I work with the inner development places that can very easily be targeted, identified, changed so that movement can happen. I started Momentum six years ago and at that time I'd been in a couple very good coaching programs. My business was stable enough but I didn't have the foundation in place. My business had kind of grown very well by accident you might say, but I didn't have the systems in place, I didn't have the foundation. I called it a Swiss cheese business because there were so many holes and I came to Momentum for the strength that I could build the foundation that my business needed. My most recent milestone was in this past year when I went beyond $420,000 in new sales. Now when you work in the personal development area, it's often thought that there's kind of an upper limit for most people to what can be achieved there financially and yet I came very close to doubling my income in a year without hustle, without mega complicated launches and I was extremely satisfied with that growth and it gave me the vision of what could happen just as easily if I just worked in a really wise way. Before I came to Momentum, I had the good fortune to be in two very good other business coaching programs. They matched where I was at that time, but again I was wanting more. And when I met Marisa and came and successfully was given what I was looking for, I couldn't leave. It didn't make any sense to leave. I personally believe that any business coaching program I'm in, I should stay more than one year so that the company can get to know me and my business and take me to the next levels without jumping around all the time for myself just to find something new. And each year when I come to the end and I seriously look at where do I need to be for my support for the coming year, The simple truth of the matter is that there is no place that gives the level of time, energy, and quality dollars for hours that one finds in Momentum. It's very hard to leave when the quality that's given is at the level it is. What I'm doing in my business now that I wasn't doing when I joined Momentum is that I'm very conscious of the level of business I'm at and what's needed now at this time at that level. Because the level of income generation I've reached, I know that I don't need to just be focusing on the one thing. I can diversify a little bit the avenues of income that are coming in, which keeps it interesting for me. It's still in the same ballpark, but I can be creative, feeling secure that my income is sustainable and there's room to play. And for me, I'm creative by nature. I want that latitude while feeling like I'm not all over the map because I'm at a level of business where that wouldn't support me. So I love the ability and the encouragement to play and to explore and to grow in that way. Before I joined Momentum, because I had a business that kind of grew by chance, I wasn't absolutely certain that my income was really sustainable. I wasn't really confident that year after year after year I could maintain the income that I had made the year before. And so even though I had a stable business and it was continuing to maintain that stability, the level of security that made me feel just relaxed wasn't there to the degree I wanted. Now, after repeatedly experiencing the ability to sustain my income and grow it and even make leaps, I don't question that I can apply everything I've learned over the years to be able to go anywhere in the nation and start up again if I had to start over because I can work both locally and I can work online in ways that are skilled and that can adjust to what's needed in these changing times. You know, if we know where we're going we have a better chance of getting there and I think the road mapping and flow mapping helps to organize my thinking of the different compartmental areas where I need to be giving attention so that I have a business that grows that's not lopsided in some way. What do I need to develop in myself to meet the levels of growth that I'm experiencing? What do I need to do externally to build and maintain that? So it's so practical to be given an organizational framework to work within and to be able to give attention in these different areas so that I don't grow in that lopsided way. As I did, that's how I was when I came in. I had income coming into Momentum but I didn't have the foundation in place and there were repercussions because of that. So it's a brilliant, brilliant outline that Maurice has put together that helps me identify where do I need to be giving attention, added attention, weighted attention in that sense. So it's a tremendous assist for anyone who's really wanting to grow a business. I'm Michelle Bongiorno. My business is Bold Breakthroughs and that's both the process and what I offer leaders who are in need of a breakthrough in any area of their life that's interfering with their contribution. Another really important thing to me that I appreciate Momentum is the level of quality that goes in every direction. I love seeing that Marisa has a coaching staff that stays. That lets me know that they're happy, they're satisfied, they're growing in their businesses, they're growing in their skills coaching me. So I feel like I'm surrounded by tears, layers of support and growth in every way and the quality that's given is something that's really important to me from the level of quality and the notebooks were given to the level of quality and the coaching to the level of quality and the diversified programs and services that Momentum contains. It's very hard for me not to be a happy camper. You're so positive. You do your job well, Christine. Yes. I consent. This interview process was fun. It was relaxed, it was supportive and it's really what an interview process should be. It supported me in just feeling relaxed and natural and like I was in conversation with Christine.
