The interview

What was your life like before joining the Living Proof Institute?

My life involved me really trying to figure out how I'm supposed to manage my autoimmune disease and it was such a struggling point for me. I think it's been eight years now since I've been diagnosed with it. I went through a lot of research, books, podcasts, and doctors on YouTube. I spent a lot of money which was pretty heartbreaking because it's a lot.

How did you find the Living Proof Institute?

Just before the Living Proof Institute I found I was with a functional medicine practitioner who referred me to the institute.

What specific things did the institute teach you to work on?

The Living Proof Institute has taught me that there are many things that I had to work on such as my sleep hygiene. And then really figure out what my diet needed to be. They also taught me that stress is such a big factor and provided a lot of exercises and education behind it.

What changes have you noticed since starting the program?

Since being with the Living Proof Institute, I noticed that my health has been a lot better. Mentally speaking, I've felt a lot happier. By sticking to the guidelines that the institute has provided, it helped me manage my symptoms a lot better. I'm at a good base level where I'm happy, I'm able to dance, and I'm able to be productive.

What was your experience like working with your health coach?

The Living Proof Institute had Anna-Lisa as my health coach and I find her very, very helpful in providing me feedback that I needed and encouragement that would help me continue doing what I've been doing. Any other suggestions that she provided has helped me try them out and then notice good, positive feedbacks.

Who would you recommend this program to?

I would recommend the Living Proof Institute to others who are similar to me in terms of struggling with their diagnosed issues relating to the immune system because it's very hard to find answers from the western medical practice. You often just get told your issue is uncurable, with not much of a guideline other than taking drugs and medications.

My life before the Living Proof Institute involved me really trying to figure out how I'm supposed to manage my autoimmune disease and it was such a struggling point for me. I think it's been eight years now since I've been diagnosed with it. Going through a lot of research, books, podcasts and anything that doctors have mentioned on YouTube. Diet seems to be a huge contributor to my autoimmune disease. So going through so many, like, practitioners, those people who I think could help - dropping some that I don't think could help - and it's just always a fun little conversation I would have or even just spending a lot of money was pretty heartbreaking because it's a lot. So going through that and then, just before the Living Proof Institute I found I was with a functional medicine practitioner who referred me to the institute. The Living Proof Institute has taught me that there are many things that I had to work on such as my sleep hygiene. And then really figure out what my diet needed to be. So it helped me fine-tune it and creating a base guideline for myself. They also taught me that stress is such a big factor and provided a lot of exercises and education behind it and how such contributors can cause issues to my autoimmune disease. So, me having to take the time and actually learn that has helped and I notice a lot more positive feedbacks coming from doing that and then it just has convinced me to continue doing what I should be doing to manage my autoimmune disease. Since being with the Living Proof Institute, I noticed that my health has been a lot better. Mentally speaking, I've felt a lot happier. When I follow the guidelines because when I don't, I realize that it does go down like a little bit of a decline. By sticking to the guidelines that the institute has provided, it helped me manage my symptoms a lot better and start identifying what else I could do to improve my symptoms. So it helps provide me a guideline. At least I'm at a good base level where I'm happy, I'm able to dance, I'm able to be productive. The Living Proof Institute had Anna-Lisa as my health coach and I find her very, very helpful in providing me feedback that I needed and encouragement that would help me continue doing what I've been doing. And then any other suggestions that she provided has helped me try them out and then notice good, positive feedbacks coming from that. I would recommend the Living Proof Institute to others who are similar to me in terms of struggling with their diagnosed issues relating to the immune system because it's very hard to find answers from the western, like, medical practice. Because you do get, just, saying your issue is uncurable, not much of a good guideline or what to do moving forward other than taking, like, drugs and medications that I personally find, not the solution long-term-wise. So the Living Proof Institute would be great to just help relieve the symptoms that those who struggle with. Hi, my name is Jennifer Ngo. I am from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
