Christiane Breton achieved normal thyroid blood work, including T3, T4, and antibody levels, through Save My Thyroid. After being diagnosed with Graves' disease and multinodular goiter, she worked with Dr. Eric Osansky to identify triggers like stress and diet. The interview

What surprised you most about working with Dr. Eric Osansky?

I think what surprised me the most was that Dr. Eric didn't expect perfection. Initially, when I first started, I did the AIP diet, which is a strict level three, very strict diet for about four months. You can't live your life if you're always on the AIP level three. Perfection wasn't necessary to get through and how easy it was to work with him and his staff.

What was your health situation before starting the program?

I was first diagnosed with hyperthyroidism with Graves' disease and multinodular goiter. I had my thyroid swollen. I was going to regular doctors and they went in there with needles to check to make sure I didn't have cancer and everything. And it was really scary because I didn't know, like at heart palpitations, I didn't feel good, and I didn't have a clue what was wrong with me.

Why did you choose to work with Save My Thyroid?

Initially, when I listened to his podcast, I noticed that he interacted with a lot of other practitioners who had different specialties. So you could see that he was trying to do a comprehensive approach to dealing with hyperthyroid, whether it's diet or the supplements, toxins, exercise, all those different hormones. It was all part of it.

What specific results have you seen since working with Dr. Eric?

Since working with Dr. Eric, I've gotten all my thyroid blood work numbers, my T3, T4, and even my antibodies; everything is back to normal. I'm in the acceptable range and I've learned how to eat better, what to avoid, and what I can have sometimes.

What did you learn about the root causes of your condition?

Another thing that I learned was how much stress affects your life. Looking back, I see that I had a traumatic event before I was diagnosed, and I think that definitely had an impact on my health. They help you work through the process of helping find your triggers—is it food, stress, toxins, or your environment?

How would you describe the support from Dr. Eric and his staff?

They were really friendly and helpful and always there to answer questions. I would recommend Dr. Eric because he's very encouraging. I had one point where I was feeling like I was back at the beginning and not making the progress I wanted, and Dr. Eric was like, 'don't give up, you gotta keep a good attitude.' They treat you as an individual; not everything applies to everyone.

Frequently asked

Is the AIP diet too strict to maintain long-term for thyroid health?

Christiane Breton noted that while she followed a strict level three AIP diet for four months, Dr. Eric Osansky did not expect perfection. She learned that total perfection isn't necessary to get through the protocol, allowing her to eventually attend family events and go out to dinner.

How does Save My Thyroid handle setbacks during the healing process?

When Christiane felt she was back at the beginning and not making progress, she found Dr. Eric to be very encouraging. He advised her not to give up and to maintain a good attitude, treating her as an individual rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.

What kind of testing does Dr. Eric Osansky provide for thyroid patients?

Christiane recommends the practice because they make specific tests available at a reasonable cost. The staff interprets these results for the patient and provides specific supplement recommendations based on the findings.
