The interview

Why did you decide to move beyond written testimonials?

I think connection is so important in society. And I think just writing words sometimes A, people don't read them, and B, to really capture the emotion of a patient who's either gone through a retreat with me or had a procedure with me is so important. And so, you know, they're real people, and I'm not making up the words.

How have you utilized the videos produced by Share One?

I've used the videos in ways that hadn't anticipated. I've given presentations in the community and use those videos as testimonials for my practice. And that I think has been helpful for kind of the random people coming to my talks about hearing success stories again from patients. And then putting them on the website each for the retreat and for my business, I think just helps again, make it more legit.

What was your mindset regarding marketing when you started your practice?

As physicians, we are just trained in medicine. And then you open a business, and there's all these things to learn about marketing and about getting the word out, and it's overwhelming and it's confusing. To be honest, when I started this process, I didn't know what I was getting into. I just knew I wanted something different than what I have been doing and a way to more clearly get my message or my impact out into the world.

Why did you choose to outsource the video creation process?

At some point when you own a business, really of any sort, you realize you just can't do it all alone. Right? And I'm not going to edit videos. That's not a strength of mine or even an interest of mine, nor do I know how to do videos. You realize that it's important to invest in your own business rather than just there's always an exchange of time for money, and you can only do so much.

How did the Share One team ensure they captured your specific message?

The way in you guys did the videos was so powerful and multilevel, just kind of like asking me what purpose of my business and the passion behind what I do and the mission and so many questions was so important. So I think you totally understood my mission. And so in asking questions to people, you had a good understanding of kind of what the points were to get out into the world.

Frequently asked

Can a busy physician manage video production alone?

Dr. Jordana Quinn realized that as a business owner, she could not do it all alone, noting that video editing was neither a strength nor an interest. She found it essential to invest in a service like Share One rather than attempting to learn technical skills like video editing herself.

How does Share One understand a specific medical mission?

Dr. Quinn noted that the process was powerful because the team asked deep questions about the purpose, passion, and mission behind her business. This allowed them to understand the key points that needed to be communicated to the world through her patients' stories.

Are video testimonials better than written patient quotes?

According to Dr. Quinn, people often don't read written words, and text fails to capture the true emotion of a patient. She found that hearing a story of transformation is much more powerful and makes the business feel more 'legit' to prospective patients.
