Elimination of stomach issues and increased vitality

Interconnected 10-episode educational series
I've had issues for quite a while, at least 20 years of reflux, know GERD reflux... I can feel that I don't have any stomach issues right now.
I'm finding that by eliminating all these preservatives and additives and colors and all the crap that I eat that came out of a box, bag, or a can, and just eating Whole Foods, I did not expect to feel as good as I did.
It's an investment in your health. And for me, I felt like I was on the road to either diabetes, heart disease, or cancer. I would say a bargain for me to be able to get some health back.

The interview

What was your initial experience with the Urban Monk content?

I had caught a glimpse, like a promo for a series that was going to be shown called Interconnected. After watching that, wow, talk about an education. I was blown away by the things that I had thought were happening that weren't happening and the things that were happening that I had no clue about.

What health issues were you struggling with before finding the program?

I'm 70 years old and I've had issues for quite a while, at least 20 years of reflux, know GERD reflux. And I recently came into three different autoimmune diseases and I didn't know what was going on.

How did you confirm your suspicions about your health after watching the series?

I had heard about Leaky Gut, but I wasn't positive really if it were me, but after watching this Interconnect series, I felt like it's definitely me. I followed up on it and did the blood work, the sensitivity testing, and of course I did have it.

How did this approach differ from the medical treatments you tried previously?

I'd been to the gastro, I've had endoscopies done and all kinds of testing done. And basically they say, here, take a Prilosec, take a Nexium, which I knew was just masking symptoms and not really fixing the problem. Learning through the 10 episodes what actually does happen to your stomach, I could understand the reasoning behind it.

When did you first notice the physical results of the program?

I was in Vegas with my sister and I woke up thinking, wow, I feel like I'm in Oz. I feel good. Nothing hurts. My stomach feels good. I could feel that I don't have any stomach issues right now, but more than that, I just felt better than I have in a long time.

How has the program impacted your daily activity and outlook?

I work out four days a week, golf, I bowl, I bike, and dance. I didn't feel this spring in your step of vitality before, but now I feel really good. I feel like I've taken things like diabetes, heart disease, or cancer off the table. It's been an extremely educational and healthy experience.

Frequently asked

Is the Urban Monk program too restrictive to follow?

While Cinde Woodcock admitted the program sounded restrictive initially, she found the results were 'not murky' and the benefits of feeling great made the dietary changes entirely worth the effort.

Can Urban Monk help with long-term digestive issues like GERD?

Yes, Cinde reported having reflux issues for at least 20 years and found that the education provided in the Interconnected series helped her understand and fix the problem rather than just masking symptoms with medication.

What is the benefit of the Interconnected series over traditional medicine?

Cinde found that while specialists like gastroenterologists offered medications like Nexium to mask symptoms, Urban Monk provided an education on what was actually happening in her stomach, allowing for sustainable healing.

I'm finding that by eliminating all these preservatives and additives and colors and all the crap that I eat that came out of a box, bag, or a can, and just eating Whole Foods, I did not expect to feel as good as I did. I didn't think I would have the energy. My name is Cindy Woodcock. I'm 70 years old. I'm from North Myrtle Beach and I'm retired. I've had issues for quite a while, at least 20 years of reflux, know GERD reflux. And I recently came into three different autoimmune diseases and I didn't know what was going on. A lot of them I thought were related to COVID, but I had seen... Something was going through the Facebook feed about Urban Monk and I had caught a glimpse, like a promo for a series that was going to be shown called Interconnected. And I missed the first couple of times, but I caught it again and I thought, I'm going to make time to watch this. And after watching that, wow, talk about an education. I was blown away by the things that I had thought were happening that weren't happening and the things that were happening that I had no clue about. The information was just amazing. And I had heard about Leaky Cup, but I wasn't. Positive, really, if it were me, but after watching this Interconnect series, I felt like it's definitely me. And I followed up on it and did the blood work, the sensitivity testing, crossing my fingers, thinking, maybe I won't have a leaky gut. But of course I did. And I've been eating wrong for years. So that was how I sort of kicked off by incidentally finding this reference piece on Facebook. Otherwise, I would have just continued eating where I was and feeling where I was. I'd been to the gastro, I've had endoscopies done and all kinds of testing done. And basically they say, here, take a prior six. take a Nexium, take this, take that, which I knew was just masking symptoms and not really fixing the problem. So learning through the 10 episodes what actually does happen to your stomach, I could understand it and then I could see the reasoning behind it and why you do what you do and then why you need to maintain that, or you're right back where you started. So that is probably the biggest thing, getting educated on what was really happening. I don't wake up in the morning feeling good, jumping out of bed. not an early bird. I'm more of a night owl. So getting myself going in the morning is just not great. And I always felt okay, but not good. And after starting the program, I was in Vegas with my sister to see The Wizard of Oz at the Sphere. And we were in this cute little condo and the sun came up really early, or what I thought was early, and came in the room and lit it up. And I woke up thinking, wow, I feel like I'm in Oz. I feel good. Nothing hurts. My stomach feels good. And I'm really excited. So was the day we're on. It started to... trickle in my head a little bit that, you know, maybe all these vegetables are doing the good thing that they're supposed to do. I'm feeling the difference. I can feel that I don't have any stomach issues right now, but more than that, I just felt better than I have in a long time. I work out four days a week. golf, I bowl, I bike, and dance. So I'm pretty active. It wasn't like, oh, I have the energy to do it because I've always done it. But I didn't feel this spring in your step of vitality. felt really good. And I made a comment to my husband and a couple of people, you know, I know this sounds really restrictive, but in the end, I'm getting to the good spot and I'm feeling great. And so it's so worth it to know that you're doing the right thing and there are results that are not murky and you have to wander through there. Like I feel the results. I grew up with these old sayings, ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. So I'm gone with the prevention. I'm going to get myself clean. And I say detox, but I mean from junk. Stick with the program because I'm getting health and vitality back and feeling better. It's an investment in your health. And for me, I felt like I was on the road to either diabetes, heart disease, or cancer. I would say a bargain for me to be able to get some health back and feel like I'm doing the right thing. And I have kind of taken those things off the table. It's been a very good experience for me and extremely educational and healthy experience for me, learned so much. So being educated about it has been a really, really huge benefit. Big blessing. I'm very happy with that.
