The interview

How has Victoria's involvement with Vector Marketing affected your family?

It only affected us in a very positive way, that we have an independent child that is fully supporting herself. She's traveling, she is growing professionally, she's paying off her college loans. She's a great example for her younger sister.

What was your initial reaction when Victoria started in sales?

We were a bit surprised cause nobody in the family did anything remotely close to sales, but we were excited for Victoria to try new endeavors and we supported her in it. We didn't know anything about the business, but we owned Cutco knives, and that gave me a lot of confidence.

What was the feedback from her early customers?

I would imagine that it is similar across the board for a beginner salesperson where family members and close circle of friends are the first customers. And of course, we've heard back from them how pleased they were with the service. So there was a very positive feedback.

What personal changes did you see in Victoria?

She gained so much confidence. Her personality was emerging as very confident young lady with very strong communication skills. She was maturing really quickly. We could see it in the way she conducted herself.

Can you describe a specific challenge she overcame?

There's a progression of events from her being able to take a challenge of opening a brand new office, accepting the challenge, and seeing it as a great opportunity to start something of her own. When she graduated her college, she drove back and forth between Tampa and Fort Lauderdale for a number of weeks, trying to have grounds ready for when she opens up her doors, and graduate at the same time.

What was a standout moment in her career so far?

She gave a 40-minute speech that she wrote herself. She spoke in front of 700 people in Atlanta. That was very moving for me. It shows how well she was supported by the company.

How do you feel about her decision to stay with Vector after five years?

I only feel stronger that it was the right decision for her. It sounded too good to be true, but now, when 5 years into it, I am a lot more relaxed. I see all the benefits of her making that decision and staying with Vector. I only see the positive, how it allowed her to grow, to learn, and to see opportunities as being endless.

Elina Belilovskiy (00:00) So it only affected us in a very positive way, that we have an independent child that is fully supporting herself. She's traveling, she is growing professionally, she's paying off her college loans. She's a great example for her younger sister My name is Elina Belilovsky. We live in Sarasota, Florida, and my daughter Victoria Belilovsky is currently a district manager at Fort Lauderdale location. We were a bit surprised cause nobody in the family did anything remotely close to sales, but we were excited for Victoria to try new endeavors and we supported her in it. We didn't know anything about the business, but we owned Cutco knives, and that gave me a lot of confidence. It was a great product. I love them. Her personality was emerging as very confident young lady with very strong communication skills. she was maturing really quickly. We could see it in the way she conducted herself. There's a progression of events from her being able to take a challenge of opening a whole new, brand new office, you know, accepting the challenge, and seeing it as a great opportunity to start something of her own. When she graduated her college, and she accepted the position, she drove back and forth between Tampa and Fort Lauderdale for number of weeks, trying to have grounds ready for when she opens up her doors, and graduate at the same time. So that was a big step. It definitely memorable to see my baby being so brave, so adventurous, and so confident. I think it shows well she was supported by the company. This she gave a 40-minute speech that she wrote herself. She spoke in front of 700 people in Atlanta. That was very moving for me. So even though we're empty nesters, and all 3 daughters moved out, there is a different level of closeness and respect for one another. what is the warmest to my heart, that we all are trying to find time for one another. Well, I only feel stronger that it was the right decision for her. It sounded too good to be true. But now, when 5 years into it, I am a lot more relaxed. I see all the benefits of her making that decision and staying with Vector. I only see the positive, how it allowed her to grow, to learn, to to see opportunities are being endless. Those are her words, not mine. I don't think it's for everyone, but It's definitely a very solid path to see if it might be for your kid. You might be surprised the way we were. It could be a great fit that will allow your kid to discover talents that they didn't know they have. They're only 17, 18, 19 years old. They're still learning this world. They're learning the corporate world, and the world outside of safety of home. But it is another family. An extended family will surround your child, and will help them find their strength. And I do believe whatever the outcome will be, there will be a lot that they will learn positively, and taking with them, even if they will decide something different.
