The interview

What led CyberPower Systems to work with Computer Market Research?

Our internal system was reaching the end of its life. I was really looking for an organization that was familiar with our customer base and how we go to market. As a result, the reports would translate better.

What is the experience like working with the CMR team?

They assign a project manager and a team. It really seems like you're working with your family; it's a tight-knit group that becomes familiar with your organization. If there are questions, they're super responsive and really want to work through whatever the issues are with you.

How does CMR manage communication and project resources?

They have been a valuable resource, scheduling weekly calls with us—though we went to every two weeks. If I had a last-minute question, they were willing to jump on the phone with me to get it resolved. They look through everything with me, send email updates, and have a dedicated email for our questions.

What was the biggest challenge before implementing CMR?

Honestly, it was our internal system. It was one of those that we had brought in an intern to try to create, and they weren't familiar with our needs. As our company grew, we really needed a solution that would be able to grow with us.

What specific features or services stand out in the daily workflow?

All the little things along with the gals working on our account. She'll send me a list of new products that showed up in a report and I'm able to fill in the gaps and send that to her. Then I don't have to worry about it. It's nice not having to make sure I am working the very beginning of the month when all of the reports come in.

What would you say to others considering Computer Market Research?

I would say to anyone who's considering computer market research, if you operate within a channel, if your go-to-market strategy is selling within the channel, don't look anywhere else. Go to computer market research. I promise that's the best option you're gonna find out there.
