The interview
What was your life like before you started working with Flipping 50?
Before working with Flipping 50, my life was being short of breath walking. I really couldn't walk without walking sticks for the back pain and just some support. That's pretty much the reason that I started down this journey.
What were your previous habits regarding diet and exercise?
I was only getting about 600 calories a day, and I had been successful with that but then, over a couple of years, I gained weight back and more. I did 2 hours of aerobics back-to-back and walked five to 6 miles a day.
Why did you choose to work with Debra Atkinson?
What made me start working with Debra was I liked her way that she researched everything. In the beginning I didn't see how increasing calories was and decreasing exercise was going to help me at all. But I put my trust with her.
What surprised you most about the Flipping 50 program?
What surprised me most about Flipping 50 was probably the increase in calories and being able to lose weight. And then the weight training.
What are you physically capable of doing now?
I've ran three half marathons. I still run 2 to 3 miles a week, I can do hill intervals that I do once a week and stationary bike once a week and then lift the weights three times a week. So I'm stronger than I've ever been. Yesterday, I played 3 hours of pickleball and 18 holes of golf.
How has your sleep changed since starting the program?
Sleep is 100% better than what it was. In the beginning, I would maybe get 2 to 3 or 4 hours of sleep. It wasn't consistent what time I went to bed or what time I got up. And that has all changed now.
What is the most significant measurable result you have achieved?
I've lost 100 pounds. I started in my early sixties I'm now 70 and much stronger and healthier than I've been for a long time.

Jennifer reported that her sleep is 100% better now. She went from getting only 2 to 4 hours of inconsistent sleep to a much more consistent and restful routine.
