The interview

What are the major differences between Vector Marketing and other jobs you have had?

One major difference is the complete control over your schedule. If you need to take off, travel, or attend doctor's appointments, you don't have to ask off. You are in control. Another difference is the ability to determine your paycheck. In previous jobs, I couldn't just make an extra thousand dollars or ask for a pay raise for a trip, but here you can by making more calls and booking more appointments.

What convinced you to turn Vector and Cutco into a career?

The flexibility was a major factor, whether it's taking care of my wife or traveling. Also, the people I get to surround myself with in the field, like business owners and realtors, and the management team. I met my wife through Cutco and my manager even married us. Finally, being able to determine week to week how much income I generate is a big priority.

How does the income structure compare to traditional employment?

In other jobs, you can't just decide to make more money. At Vector, you have the ability to determine your paycheck based on how hard you want to work for that week. You can book more appointments and make more sales to reach your financial goals.

What would you say to someone who is on the fence about joining?

I would say give it a shot. You never know if it's for you or not until you try. I think everybody should work at Vector and Cutco for a little bit of time to figure out if they can manage themselves and others, and if they have the people skills needed to be successful in life.

How has the company impacted your personal life?

It has been a great experience. Half of the people in our wedding party were Cutco-related people. I met my wife through the company, and the relationships with the people I work with were a major factor in making this a career.

Speaker 0: I would say there's a couple, major differences between vector marketing and any other job that I've had. One of the major differences is the complete control over your schedule. If you need to take off or you need to travel or you have some doctor's appointments that you have to attend, you don't have to ask off. Or if you want to take a vacation, can take that vacation and you are in control of your schedule. Another major difference is leading into vacations, typically people want to have that extra bit of spending money. Well, in any other job, especially jobs that I worked previously, I couldn't just make an extra thousand dollars. I couldn't just ask for a pay raise and have enough to pay for that trip. So here, you can do that. You can make more phone calls, you can book more appointments, you can make more sales, and you have the ability to determine your paycheck based on how hard you want to work for that week. So as far as what convinced me to turn Vector and Cutco into a career, one would probably be the flexibility. Whether it's taking care of my wife or traveling, we do a lot of both of that. And having that flexibility of my schedule is really important to me. But also the people, not just the people that I work with specifically, but the people that I get to surround myself with in my field, whether it's business owners and realtors or the management team. I really enjoy the people that I get to work with. Actually, of the people in our wedding party were Cutco related people, so it was really cool. I met my wife through Cutco. My manager married us, and it's just really been a great experience working with these people. So that was a major factor for me. And then of course being able to determine week to week, month to month, how much income I'm able to generate has been something that is a really big priority for me. If I were to recommend this job to somebody, somebody that may be on the fence, I would say give it a shot. You never know if it's for you or not. It may not be for you. It may be for you. I think everybody should should work at Vector and Cutco, for a little bit of time to figure out a couple things. Can they manage themselves? Can they work towards managing others? Do they have the people skills that they need to be successful in life?
