What was your life like before attending 40 Years of Zen?
Before I attended the program, I had nightly nightmares and I was somewhat disorganized, not entirely happy, and more stressed.
What changed after you attended the program?
After attending, my nightmares went away. I was a little more organized, definitely happier, and my husband reports I am 'lighter.' After doing Zen, you are happier, lighter, more productive, healthier, and all around a better person.
How many times have you participated in the program?
I've attended Zen three times, and the first time was incredibly powerful for my life.
What was your experience with the staff and the facility?
I think that my facilitator Ariana, the first two times I was there, was probably the thing I enjoyed the most in that she was highly perceptive and super committed to everyone's advancement and super hardworking. I also enjoyed the home setting that's cozy and promotes healing.
What are you most excited about regarding your future after the program?
I'm most excited about living my life according to more succinct, ever-present goals that are more top of mind. I'm more organized, I'm lighter, I'm happier, and I'm more confident. I now have really good tools for handling life stresses and setbacks.
What is your biggest takeaway from the experience?
My biggest takeaway, I guess, is that forgiveness work is imperative to living a cleaner, healthier, happier, more productive life.
Who would you recommend this program to?
I would recommend 40 Years of Zen to everyone because at a certain point in your life, probably midlife, 40 on, you have built up traumas and stresses that are buried and you don't realize how impactful they are. Zen is just a super fast, supercharged way to let go.
