The interview

What was your situation before attending 40 Years of Zen?

Two weeks ago, before 40 Years of Zen, I was dealing with a breakup. I did have some resentment or misunderstanding of how my parents raised me, mainly because of a lack of being able to process that and having the time to.

What changed for you after completing the program?

My life is the same actually, but I feel lighter. I feel more open-hearted and loving, and more compassionate towards others. What shifted for me the most is my perception of my childhood and how that affects my current decisions and defaults that I resort to emotionally, intellectually, or logically.

Why did you decide to say yes to 40 Years of Zen?

What made me say yes was that I didn't have a lot of therapy experience and was going through a breakup at that time. Certainly the brand credibility of Dave and the people that have attended was a catalyst for me to trust what I was about to enter into.

What specific elements of the program did you appreciate most?

What made me appreciate the program the most was the brain mapping and the capturing that happened that was specific to what my needs were. I thought that was something I could not really have done anywhere else. I also valued the ability to share learnings and issues with the team and the group.

What are you most excited about moving forward?

I'm most excited about continuing to develop my relationship with my mom, and to rekindle my relationship with my dad, which I lost over a few years. Also to be able to express more love to my niece and to be the best partner possible for whoever comes into my life next.

Why would you recommend this program to others?

I highly recommend it because it brings the technology of brain mapping to rewire certain parts of your brain that may not be connecting as well. It combines a therapy element with group therapy, high-tech cap training, and individual pod training time with tools that allow you to dig deeper.

Frequently asked

Can I trust 40 Years of Zen if I have no experience with therapy?

Sean Kim noted that despite having little therapy experience and not knowing exactly what he was entering into, the brand credibility of Dave Asprey and previous attendees served as a catalyst for his trust.

How does 40 Years of Zen help with family resentment?

Sean Kim found that the program allowed him to process his childhood and understand how his upbringing affected his current emotional defaults, leading him to seek a rekindled relationship with his father.

What makes the 40 Years of Zen technology unique?

Sean Kim appreciated the specific brain mapping and capturing tailored to his needs, as well as the ability to return six to nine months later to see a 'before and after' reading of his brain.

Hi, my name is Sean Kim and I'm recording this video because two weeks ago, before 40 Years of Zen, I was dealing with a breakup. After attending 40 Years of Zen, my life is the same actually, but I feel lighter. I feel more open hearted and loving, and more compassionate towards others. I highly recommend 40 Years of Zen because it brings the technology of brain mapping and to rewire certain parts of your brain that may not be connecting as well. The group therapy elements and also the pod training work. Before starting 40 Years of Zen I did have some, maybe a resentment or misunderstanding of how my parents raised me. Mainly because of a lack able to process that and having the time to. What made me say yes 40 Years of Zen was that I didn't have a lot therapy experience and was going through a breakup at that time. And certainly the brand credibility of Dave and the people that have attended was a catalyst for me to trust. What I was about to enter into, even though I had no idea what I was about to enter into. What made me appreciate the program the most was the brain mapping and the capturing that happened that was specific to what my needs were. Just because I thought that was just something I could not really have done anywhere else. And it was probably the most unique thing about the program, the fact that I can also go do my brain reading six to nine months after and see what the before and after was. So that's exciting for me, just as a techie. I think the other part which I didn't know before coming in, was the ability to share the learnings and the issues that we have gone through with the team and the group that we had. Moving forward, I'm most excited about continuing to develop my relationship with my mom, and to rekindle my relationship with my dad, which I lost over few years. Also to be able to express more love to my niece, and to continue to improve myself. So whoever comes into my life next as partner from a love perspective, that I can be the best partner possible. Having gone through the program, what shifted for me the most is maybe my perception of my childhood and how that affects my current decisions and defaults that I resort to emotionally or intellectual or logically. That makes more sense now based on the way I was raised. The other part that will affect my life is just small things that I maybe was doing before to isolate that was fairly antisocial that I think I've been able to rewire. The main reason why I would recommend 40 Years of Zen is I guess, somewhat of a therapy element with a group therapy. Kind of high tech cap training with the ability to read your brain map. And then you get the individual pod train time that with tools, that allows you to dig deeper.
