The interview
What was your life and health like before working with Dr. Moldavan?
My life before working with Dr. Moldavan was, I was unaware that I even had some dental issues. I needed to get two dental implants done and I really wanted to make sure that they weren't any kind of toxic substance.
What specific treatments did you receive from Dr. Moldavan?
I've had multiple treatments done. The first one would be my dental implants that were ceramic, and they were done by Dr. Moldavan herself. She is a really skilled surgeon in terms of her skill and her ability to diagnose and improve dental issues.
How did the practice handle post-procedure care regarding antibiotics?
She didn't really recommend any antibiotics right away. She really wanted to use ozone and natural treatments instead of jumping to something that was more systemic and would impact my gut.
What was your experience with the rest of the dental team?
The second experience I had was with Dr. Diego. She did my dental exam and referred me to the hygienist for a cleaning. I absolutely adore their hygienist; she's super thorough, almost OCD about cleaning teeth, which is great because that's really what you want.
How has the practice impacted your family's health?
I was really impressed with their practice that now my husband and my kids are all members. My daughter is just 16 and she has gingivitis, and they use laser to kind of help heal that. She's really impressed with their service as well.
Can you describe the custom mouthguards you received?
They custom-made these personalized mouthguards for me. And they're really nifty because they are missing the front piece. So it's only where I actually need them. And so they're much easier to sleep with and I can truly see a difference the next day. I'm really grateful that it's BPA-free.
Why do you recommend a holistic approach to dentistry?
It's changed our life just to realize that real health starts in the mouth. As an integrative medicine doctor myself, we look at the gut and we look at hormones but it really has to start from the mouth. I really encourage all my patients to go see a holistic practitioner to make sure there's no hidden infections.
