The interview

What is your background and when did you start with the institute?

Hi I'm Claire Riley. I live in Brooklyn, New York, and I'm a life mastery consultant and a writer. I was certified in April of 2024.

What challenges did you face after getting certified?

I'll be honest with you, it was very overwhelming. There was just so much to do I felt overwhelmed by it. And that made me a little bit paralyzed, y'know. So it was difficult to take actions. So I realized, I need individual coaching.

How did you decide to join the additional coaching program?

When we had training in October, they said, 'we're offering this program.' And I said, 'oh, my God, it's exactly what I wanted!' So it was very easy for me to say 'yes.' Even though I did not have the money, I did not know where I was going to get the money from. I realized it was for me.

How did your coach help you change your approach to Vision Workshops?

I had my first Vision Workshop - and I thought we were supposed to have, like, one a month. That was in my head. And then when I met with my coach, she was like, 'no, you have to have at least two.' And I did that. I needed somebody to tell me what to do because of the overwhelm. She just said, 'you're going to do this, you're going to do this.' And I did exactly what she told me.

What were the immediate results of following your coach's guidance?

I had two more vision workshops and I got my first two clients. And then shortly after that I got another client, which, to me, is fantastic. You know, just give me a push. I got out of my own way and I just moved forward and I just started taking action.

What do you find most valuable about the Accelerator calls?

I've been in Accelerator for almost a year and, you know, it's a place to ask questions. But I love listening to other people's questions because I'm very new at this. So there's a lot that I haven't experienced yet. I learned so much from other people's questions. That's probably the most powerful thing for me.

How would you describe the difference between working alone and with the institute?

Whatever it is you need to get your business off the ground, you're gonna have somebody to - I'll be honest, hold your hand. I mean, I needed handholding. I needed someone to really say, 'okay, do this next.' It's the difference between doing something on your own and doing something with a mentor guiding you.

Frequently asked

Can I join Brave Thinking Institute programs if I don't have the money upfront?
