The interview

What was your health situation before working with Dr. Naylor?

I was really looking for ways in which I could balance my hormones. I had been working a lot, I have my own business, and I'm an entrepreneur. I felt that my hormones were very out of whack. I had a Dutch test done before, and that's about it, and I didn't really know where to go from there.

What made you choose Dr. Naylor over other practitioners?

I really appreciated her approach when looking at her website online, very thorough, her history, everything that she has studied, and also because she's a mom herself. I really wanted to go as natural a path as possible, and I felt she was the right doctor for me.

What specific programs or services did you utilize?

I did the one-on-ones and then I also did a course with her around fertility and preparing to become pregnant. That combination gave me the community aspect and the ability to learn the ins and outs about my body, while the one-on-one let me nail down exactly what my labs were showing.

Did you have any hesitations about starting the program?

Of course there's a cost associated to healing, especially if you want to work with a professional, a functional practitioner, and look at your body as a whole. The cash up-front and that perspective of paying for that kind of help was something I had to decide on, but it ended up really paying off.

What was the benefit of the group program?

Working with the group program to try and conceive was really helpful because I got to hear from other women asking questions, what questions they might have that maybe I haven't thought about and also get suggestions from them. It was really helpful to have that community behind what you were doing.

What results have you seen since working with her?

Since working with Dr. Naylor, I'm actually now 20 weeks pregnant, so that's very exciting. I have so much more knowledge behind me, that's for my specific system and my body. I just feel a lot more confident and I have a lot more tools in my tool belt.
