Can you introduce yourself and describe your project?
My name is Cliff Jones. I live in Solihull in West Midlands England, and we're having a lot of renovation work done including a utility room.
What was your experience searching for worktops before finding House of Worktops?
Before I found House of Worktops, we'd been looking for various worktops that we wanted specifically with the terrazzo design. And we couldn't find any worktop anywhere that had the terrazzo, whether it was in a laminate or a thick laminate. We got very frustrated and trolled the internet as you do, and eventually we found House of Worktops.
What specific product did you choose and why?
We finished up with House of Worktops, had a wonderful composite laminate. The beauty of it is that we wanted a black edging to it and when you cut it of course it's black all the way through so we didn't have to worry about edging.
Did you have any hesitations about using House of Worktops?
I suppose the only thing I wasn't sure about, I hadn't heard of House of Worktops, and none of my installers had heard of House of Worktops. But they had the worktop we were looking for, and they also had a good choice of other worktops as well.
What sets House of Worktops apart from other kitchen suppliers?
There's lots of companies that supply cabinets and other things to do with kitchens, but House of Worktops specialized specifically in worktops, and that's a big plus for them. They offer a cutting service as well, which was a big advantage.
How was the customer service and fabrication process?
House of Worktops for me were very helpful over the telephone. They were very helpful in terms of... I wanted them cut to size, and they were very helpful in doing it quickly as well. At the time I had a deadline and they were able to help me get the worktops back to my place.
What was your impression of the staff when you collected your order?
I wouldn't hesitate in working with House of Worktops, they are very very helpful. And when I went there—cause I had to go there to collect the worktop—the guys both in the office and in the workshop were very helpful.
