The interview

Who are you and what do you do for a living?

I'm Kevin Thompson from Picton, Ontario and I farm for a living.

What was your initial motivation for seeking out Dr. Tyler Panzner?

I think, a little bit atypically, I didn't think that I was going through much. I came across him and I was more interested in maybe trying to find out what might catch up with me later in life. I had twins when I was 40 years old. I want to be active and enjoying life with them when they're older, and maybe their kids also. So, it was a pretty high priority for me.

What specific health improvements did you notice after starting the protocol?

I wasn't sleeping as well as I could be. I'd sleep seven hours a night, let's say, but never three-and-a-half hours in a block. Once I got sleeping better on his protocol, I sleep six or seven hours in a block. I definitely started sleeping better and had better exercise performance.

What was the most surprising part of the experience?

That was the surprising part, finding an underlying cause for problems that I kinda' knew existed, but never really attributed them to genetic wellness. You kind of don't know how you're doing when it's just the same as you've been doing for years and years. I thought I was doing well, but I'm doing way better.

How would you describe Dr. Tyler Panzner's coaching style and legitimacy?

I saw the legitimacy of the approach—it seemed very legitimate to me. People can get so invested in the success of their approach that their clients would be hesitant to say, 'I'm taking this supplement but it just doesn't feel right.' You can always say that to Tyler and he will just say, 'just stop them.' There are different ways to approach the same issue. He's never going to tell you that you should be feeling differently than how you're feeling.

Frequently asked

Is Dr. Tyler Panzner's approach to health optimization legitimate?

Kevin Thompson noted that the legitimacy of the DNA-guided approach was a key factor in his decision to proceed. He felt the molecular biology and genetic wellness framework provided a credible way to find underlying causes for health issues he previously couldn't attribute to a specific source.

What happens if a recommended supplement doesn't feel right?

According to Kevin Thompson, Dr. Tyler Panzner is highly flexible and prioritizes how the client actually feels. If a supplement doesn't feel right, Tyler advises the client to simply stop taking it, as he believes there are multiple ways to approach the same health issue.

Can genetic coaching help if I already feel relatively healthy?

Yes, Kevin Thompson initially thought he was doing well and was mainly interested in preventative health for his future. However, after starting the protocol, he realized he was doing 'way better' than before, specifically noting improvements in sleep and exercise.
