The interview

Who are you and what do you do?

I'm Heather Gray, the Renegade Health Boss. I live in Loveland, Colorado and I'm a functional diagnostic nutrition practitioner and podcast host of the Renegade Health Boss.

Why did you decide to attend the Business of Biohacking summit?

Being a sole entrepreneur at home by myself, I don't have a whole lot of people to bounce ideas off of. I know how to do my job as a practitioner, but the business part still evades me sometimes—the marketing, the messaging, all that stuff that's not my passion.

What was the environment and community like at the event?

To have such a brilliant room full of amazing marketing, AI, copyright... the whole nine yards. Everyone here is so ridiculously giving; you tell them what a problem is and they're wanting to solve it immediately. There's no airs, there's no pretentiousness, there's just a 'same tide raises all ships' type of vibe.

What specific skills or tools did you gain from the summit?

The networking, the connections that I've made, the prompts, learning how to use AI a little bit more efficiently, how to do keyword research stuff which has always kind of eluded me so that what I'm putting out there is relatable instead of just me throwing crap at a wall and seeing what sticks.

How will this experience impact your business moving forward?

I have gotten so many actionable tools that I can actually take home and feel like I can change the trajectory of my business. I've taken so many notes that it's going to absolutely change my business and I'll be back next year.

Is Business of Biohacking worth it for solo practitioners?

Will I feel out of place if I'm not a marketing expert?

Not at all. Heather Gray mentioned that while marketing and messaging usually elude her, the successful 'big-hearted players' at the event were unpretentious and eager to help her succeed.

Does the summit provide practical tools or just theory?

Heather Gray emphasized that she received actionable tools, including specific AI prompts and keyword research techniques, rather than just high-level concepts.
