The interview
Who are you and where do you live now?
My name is Alexandra Sedevie, I live now in West Midtown, thanks to Shannon at Elements Atlanta. I previously lived in Dunwoody, where Shannon helped me sell the first house I ever bought and move into what might be my forever home.
How were you introduced to Shannon and the team?
I was actually introduced to Shannon by a mutual friend who moved to Atlanta before me. Actually, we both moved from Louisiana. My friend Megan introduced me to Shannon and it was Kismet. We got along so well and she really took the time to understand what we were looking for and what we sought in a home and a neighborhood.
What was your experience like as a first-time buyer working with Shannon?
It was my first time buying a home and she made it so easy. Shannon took on a lot of the heavy lifting, actually. I'm a researcher so I did look quite a bit myself and I was like, Shannon, can we go look at this house and stuff? But honestly, she had better suggestions than I found.
How did Shannon handle difficulties during the selling process?
We ran into some roadblocks, I will be honest, with selling our house. And if I had been working with anyone else, I think I probably would have just quit, to be honest. Shannon really just helped us feel like our concerns were heard because she brought them to that other party on our behalf. We didn't have to have any of those possibly unpleasant conversations because she took care of all that for us.
What is the most valuable part of working with Elements Real Estate Atlanta?
I think the relationship is really the best part. We needed to get our house repainted. Shannon hooked us up after. When she has no stake in the situation anymore, she's always ready to give a recommendation. We needed some plumbing work. She sent me a plumber. And the relationship is just invaluable to us, me and my partner both.
Did you have any initial concerns about the home buying process?
I had no idea where to start, how much money I needed to have, but Shannon was ready to have that conversation immediately. I had concerns and she dispelled them. I cannot recommend Shannon enough.
