The interview

Could you introduce yourself and share your background?

My name is Ann Bennett, from Kansas City, Missouri. I'm a retired HR manager.

What led you to seek treatment at bVital?

I got diagnosed with Parkinson's in June of 21. At first I didn't have very many symptoms, just the handwriting and my voice was getting gravelly. Then November of last year, I had a septic kidney stone that caused me to have a heart attack and stroke. I was on life support for six days and in the hospital for 27 days. That sent me back and made my Parkinson's symptoms a lot worse, specifically freezing gait. I can't go anywhere because I got freezing gait; it's really limited my activities and affected my quality of life.

What other treatments had you tried previously?

The carbidopa-levodopa doesn't really do a lot for me. There's not any medications for freezing the gait. I've done extensive physical therapy and that helps a little bit but doesn't help a lot. There's really not much they can do for freezing gait in conventional medicine.

What were your expectations for the treatment and have they been met?

My expectations was to get stem cells and to make me better and I've just gotten stem cells and I'm a little bit better already. I can walk through doors at least the first day I could walk through doors a little bit easier. So, that met my expectations and I'm looking forward to meeting my expectations as the months go by.

How would you describe the environment and staff at the center?

The community is great. I really love it, everybody here loves their job. They love working with people and they love helping people. So, it's really a really good environment. I wasn't expecting this wellness environment.

What would you tell someone considering this treatment?

I would tell them that they need to go, that it really makes a lot of difference. The technologies and stuff that you guys use here, they don't use in conventional medicine and they never will. They have everything here that you can use through the naturopathic Brain Regeneration way. It's very uplifting, it helps you concentrate and focus on what can happen. You have a future and you have a hope.
