The interview
What was your life like before joining the School of Living Lighter?
There were a lot of things heavy in my life. I've been kind of a pack rat. My place where I live is so cluttered, you know, I knew that. I need to do something to get it cleaned up.
What made you decide to work with Heather Aardema?
When Heather came along, I just realized that she's good. She's been through a whole lot of things, she told me about experiences she's had with the mold and things, you know, with her health. She's been there and she, you know, I'm sure there's black mold in my house too.
How has Heather helped you focus your efforts?
I needed someone like Heather to help me to really make me focus more on what I need get out of my physical clutter, which I got so much of, and also my mental clutter. She's helped me understand that there is such a thing as mental clutter.
What has your experience been like with the support staff?
She has had two different assistants to it. I've written some of my poetry and I've shared it with Sunshine. And I could tell when she replied to my email that she read my story, what I wrote, and also she read my poem. So she showed a sincere interest in me. And that touched me so deeply.
What specific progress have you made in the program so far?
I've been involved with her School of Living Lighter for two months and one day now. And I've done so much to go through my different parts of my living space. Each, you know, I do like usually one area at a time, you know, whether it's papers, you know, getting them organized or, you know, boxes of things. So I got them better organized.
What would you say to someone who is hesitant about joining?
Don't listen to the things that might dissuade you onto a path that is not as good as you can be, you know? So if you want to your way to living your greatest light in this body, I say, you got to give Heather a chance.
How do you think this will alter your life for the future?
It's gonna help me in my mission here on this planet Earth to do what I need to do, what I wanna do, what I'm here for. And so living lighter, it will help me to to to clean out whatever debris or darkness blockages I have in my mind and my heart and the rest of my body.
