The interview

What were the health challenges you were facing before trying SNiP Nutrition?

At forty-seven and in perimenopause, I was dealing with monthly hormonal breakouts around my chin and face, dry eyes sensitive to light, food sensitivities, bloating, irritability, and breast tenderness around ovulation.

What specifically drew you to the SNiP Nutrition approach?

I was very intrigued by the idea of a cheek swab based on genetics. I was drawn to the personalization level and the fact that it was formulated based on 22 heavy-hitting genes that inform how well we age, inflammation, and the gut microbiome.

What physical changes have you noticed after a year on your custom formula?

My hair is about a third thicker, and I get compliments on it from friends. My eyes don't get as irritated, which indicates inflammation is going down. I'm also not seeing the frequent bloating, hormonal breakouts, or breast tenderness anymore.

How has this impacted your family and your professional practice?

My husband has seen a lot of improvements in his blood work. SNiP is now foundational support for both of us, my immediate family, and my clients. As a practitioner, I use the genetic blueprint to help clients layer in specific nutrients so their resources go to places that help them optimize based on science.

How does SNiP Nutrition compare to traditional off-the-shelf supplements?

Before SNiP, I didn't really take many supplements. With generic ones, you often end up with a jar full of things that don't work because they aren't built for your unique biology. SNiP provides the right format, co-factors, and dosage for the individual, offering a holistic approach to how we age and feel.

What would you say to someone considering working with SNiP Nutrition?

I would say you are getting insights into heavy-hitting areas to make informed decisions. Since 93% of your genes are actionable, working with SNiP gives you the opportunity to take your power back and change how your genes behave.

I feel like it's the synergistic co-factors with SNIP, the dosage, as well as the format that are built for me uniquely that really brings that holistic health into view. Hi, I'm Trish Mangold, Laguna Beach, California. For me personally, as a holistic health practitioner, I didn't take, uh, a lot of supplements or vitamins. I split my time up between California, beautiful, sunny California, and the dry weather conditions in Las Vegas. My skin would be dry, my eyes-- I have really light eyes, so I'm sensitive to this light and dryness. I wasn't finding solutions. My perimenopause age, I'm forty-seven now, some of the health challenges I was dealing with were monthly breakout around my cycle time. I would get those hormonal breakouts around my chin and face area, dry eyes, also a little bit of food sensitivity, bloating, and maybe a little bit of mood, hormonal challenges, sometimes irritability, I would say, and definitely around ovulation, like breast tenderness. And when I came across SNIP Nutrition, I was very intrigued by the idea of this cheek swab based on genetics. And so I did a little research, and I was drawn to it because of that personalization level. And then when I heard that it was formulated based on heavy-hitting genes and how well we age, I was very, very intrigued and then decided to lean into it personally. I've been on my formula for about a year, and what I've noticed is my hair is about a third thicker, and I do get compliments on that. And friends that have known me for a while have said, "What are you doing differently? Your hair's, like, looking great." And so I'm noticing that my eyes don't get as irritated. That's an indication of inflammation going down. My food sensitivities, I'm not seeing the bloating, the frequent bloating or the breakouts around my face around hormonal times and breast tenderness as well. So personally, for me as a consumer, that's what I've been noticing. My husband's been on his formula. He sees a lot of improvements on his blood work. So as far as the supplement stack's concerned personally, SNIP is a foundational level support for both of us and my immediate family and my clients as well, so-- and everyone for different reasons. There's no one size fits all. We can end up with a jar full of things pretty quickly. Someone says it worked for them, you try it, and then you forget why you even bought it because you didn't really feel a difference with it. It wasn't until I found SNIP that I was even considering taking a whole food supplement or a supplement for that matter. You don't know what your DNA is doing until you do, right? And so when I first heard about it, I thought, "Okay, well, how many formulations can they really do?" And I liken it to if you don't know what your DNA's doing and you're just kind of bumping along and navigating the next shiny object because an influencer mentioned it or your best friend had positive outcomes with it. But we're all bio-individual and unique. We might have similar symptoms, but the path of getting out of those symptoms can be different for everybody. And so when I found SNIP, I was very intrigued. And then when I further looked at the science and realized that we're formulating on twenty-two heavy-hitting genes that inform inflammation and aging and gut microbiome, then if we aren't looking at how to optimize our microbiome, then we're really missing a big picture of our health and what's informing our health, even our DNA. So for me, paying attention to those pillars in my formulation gave me the confidence to know that I'm getting the right format, the right co-factors, and the dosage. It's a holistic approach to how well we age, feel, and show up in life. So for me, this SNIP was a game changer, and knowing that we can do up to three billion different formulations with SNIP is pretty remarkable. Once we get that foundational level support for our genetics and map to our personal unique biology, we're optimized. I think the insights that you get from the DNA and how I can layer that into my lifestyle to even further strengthen and tap into more in life, and then I love the lifestyle tips when it comes to breathwork and Tai Chi. Sometimes we know the things we need to do, but it's a nice reminder to see it on paper and when it's matched to your DNA, kind of brings it home a little bit closer. If you don't know what your genes are doing, you just... You don't know what you don't know, right? And so now that I'm empowered with that information, I can make smarter choices with my nutrition. You know, there's no one size fits all, and when people come to me, they present with symptoms, and then I can look at their genetic roadmap and insights at the heavy-hitting genes, these ones that we're formulating the custom code complex on, and using the science of nutrigenomics and layering that in. As a practitioner as well as a nutritionist and a master herbalist, I can see, okay, this person's genetic blueprint. Here are their heavy-hitting genes, and let's layer in XYZ so that their efforts and energy and resources are going to places that we know based on science that can help them optimize and uplevel and improve performance. If you're thinking of working with SNIP Nutrition, I would say not only are you getting these insights into heavy-hitting areas where you can actually make informed decisions and be empowered about your genetics, ninety-three percent of your genes are actionable. Only seven percent are fixed. Can't change your eye color or your height, but we can change how well you age and how your genes behave. So I think working with SNIP Nutrition really gives you that opportunity to take your power back.
