The interview

Why should founders join Speakeasy Mastermind?

Because everything you could possibly need as a resource is right here. In the group, you can either take people from your own local chapter and there's somebody who's going to help you, and if not, there's somebody in the bigger global chapter. Everything you could possibly want for your business, you can find it here.

What was your first impression of the organization?

When I really went to the first Speakeasy and I showed up to the annual meeting, it was just a genuine sense of camaraderie. I really felt like the people in this organization were genuinely there to help each other out. I had heard other places say 'Rising Tides Lift All Boats,' but I really wasn't getting that from the other groups that I was in.

How does the diversity of the group impact your perspective?

It was such a great diversity of businesses. When we're in such a diverse group of all different backgrounds and different businesses, it gives me a fresh perspective and sometimes things are pointed out to me that I've never even thought of doing in my personal life or in my business.

Were you hesitant to join another mastermind group?

Before I joined, I was actually slightly unsure about joining another group because I had been in other masterminds and I had almost gotten mastermind fatigue at that point in time. I was really shocked and surprised by the level of people in this group; it's more like deep friendships that I'm finding.

Can you share a meaningful win you've had since joining?

One of the meaningful wins came at the New Jersey chapter, our very first meeting. We had one of our members, Mike Kim, talk about branding. I was blown away by how he approached personal branding to the point where I immediately the next day started reading his book. I realized I've been going about this all wrong. It's making some big changes in my business just by tweaking some things to make the message come across clearer.

Why founders should join SpeakEasy? Because everything you could possibly need as a resource is right here. And in the group, you can either take people from your own local chapter and there's somebody who's going to help you. And if not, there's somebody in the bigger global chapter. So, everything you could possibly want for your business, you can find it here at SpeakEasy. Hi, I'm Dr. Betsy Greenleaf from New Jersey and I am the founder of the Pelvic Floor Store and International Paws Institute. So I help people after 40 look great, feel great and perform great in and out of the bedroom because after 40, life is filled with a lot of F-bombs, fat, fatigued, foggy, fizzled sex life. I help take care of all those things. When I really went to the first Speakeasy and I showed up to the annual meeting was my very first time being exposed. It was just a genuine sense of camaraderie. And I really felt like the people in this organization were genuinely there to help each other out. You know, I had heard other places, you know, say like Rising Tides, Lift All Boats, but I really wasn't getting that from the other groups that I was in. And so this group, I really found that people would bend over backwards to help each other out because I realized if you help someone else out, That's going to come back at you. So it was also such a great diversity of businesses. So when we're in such a diverse group of all different backgrounds and different businesses, it gives me a fresh perspective and sometimes things are pointed out to me that I've never even thought of doing in my personal life or in my business. So I've just really been very excited and very happy with being part of the Speakeasy Mastermind. Before I joined Speak It Easy, I was actually slightly unsure about joining another group because I had been in other masterminds and I had almost gotten mastermind fatigue at that point in time, going, all right, is this really something that I should do is just join another one? In fact, I was really shocked and surprised by the level of ⁓ people in this group. It's more like deep friendships that I'm finding in the Speakeasy mastermind that I didn't necessarily find in other groups. You know, one of the meaningful wins I've had since joining the Speakeasy actually came at the New Jersey chapter, our very first meeting. We had one of our members, Mike Kim, talk about branding. And basically, he wrote a book called You Are the Brand. And my goodness, Mike Kim, I was blown away by how he approached personal branding to the point where I like immediately the next day like started reading his book, got his audiobook and I really just was like wow I've been going about this all wrong and this is something that I needed from the basics Right now, this has been a major focus and it's making some big changes in my business just by tweaking some things to make the message come across clearer. So that has been incredibly, incredibly helpful. And I'm actually so excited to have him as part of our New Jersey chapter. And I can't wait for other people to actually take advantage of, and he is so super genuine and nice, and he gave us so much information. In his lecture, so I'm hoping to get him to speak to the larger group at some point too.
