The interview
What was the initial condition of your shoulder before the treatment?
I'm one of these people has a hard time not sleeping on their sides. I have a tendency to sleep on that shoulder every night and that's been going on for several years. I had a lot of, let's say ligament damage, I would call it. Not 'damage' per se, it's not a tear or anything but lot of pain. My range of motion without pain was very limited for my right shoulder.
What happened during the treatment session with Adam?
I went into the treatment today not knowing anything about exactly what was going to be done. Adam worked on me with the device which is a pretty cool device, the percussion device I call it. Over the course of the next 30 minutes, they used the percussion equipment and the shockwaves work, I can tell you that.
What were the immediate results of the 30-minute session?
My range of motion in my right shoulder, without pain, is significantly better than it was before. They increased my range of motion without pain probably by about 100%. It changed, really, the entire way that my upper right side of my body is now functioning like 'normal again', meaning I now don't have the pain and I have a full range of motion.
How did the chronic pain affect your body's overall balance?
I started using my right shoulder differently than my left shoulder and that's not a good thing because what happens is you sort of atrophy parts of your right shoulder and the whole right side of your upper body by not using it correctly. I was actually very unbalanced because of the fact I was favoring that shoulder. Now I'm much more balanced than I was.
How would you describe the Wasabi Method compared to other treatments?
Wasabi Method is a very unique method I would say that provides you the ability to unleash the stiffness in whatever area it's being exercised on. It's a better manual treatment than you would get by just going to a chiropractor or kinesiologist. This is something that augments all of that and makes it very, very effective.
Frequently asked
What happens during a Wasabi Method treatment if you don't know what to expect?
Guerry Grune entered his session without knowing the specific process, but found that the combination of a percussion device and manual manipulation by Adam effectively 'unleashed' his stiffness. The treatment lasted 30 minutes and focused on correcting muscular imbalances caused by favoring his injured side.
Is the Wasabi Method better than seeing a chiropractor?
According to Guerry Grune, the Wasabi Method provides a better manual treatment than a standard chiropractor or kinesiologist. He notes that it augments those traditional practices and makes the overall recovery process very effective.
Can the Wasabi Method help with long-term ligament pain?
Yes, Guerry Grune reported that after several years of pain he described as ligament damage, the treatment allowed his upper body to function 'normal again.' He achieved a full range of motion and corrected the atrophy caused by not using his shoulder correctly.
