At Alloy, they're all over the floor. You know, the trainer is right there next to you so get the most from your body.

The interview

What physical changes have you noticed since starting at Alloy?

I'm much more flexible now than I was. I feel better. You know, sometimes it's hard to get up and go work out in the mornings, but I feel better when I do it. I've gained muscle and it is much easier to get up and down off the floor when I'm playing with my grandkids.

What motivated you to join Alloy Personal Training?

I have always enjoyed working out, but since COVID, I quit. I felt myself getting older. I needed to get some flexibility back. I wanted to get my body working better, getting up from the floor better.

Did you have any concerns before signing up?

I think my fear or guess my trepidation at first was the cost of Alloy. It is a lot more expensive than most gyms. However, with very small classes of no more than six people, I found that you still get very personalized care. I felt like it was really getting a good personal training at a good cost.

How does Alloy compare to other group fitness classes you have taken?

Alloy is so different because it is small classes. You have a trainer right there that comes up and says, 'no, hold your arms this way.' In a class with 40 or 50 people, the trainer is up in the front. At Alloy, they're all over the floor right next to you so you get the most from your body.

What is the community environment like at the gym?

I have enjoyed the friends that I've made there and the support that I've gotten, not just from the trainers, but other people in the classes. It's the kind of support where it's okay to be where you are right now and to do what you can and work on that.

What would you say to someone considering joining Alloy?

I would tell somebody that was thinking about joining to plunge right in there and do it. That it is a good experience. The trainers are very good. They provide that personalized service to just get in there and try it and see if it's what they want.

Frequently asked

Is Alloy Personal Training worth the higher cost compared to other gyms?

Rebecca Brindley initially had trepidation about the cost being higher than most gyms, but found it provided excellent value. She noted that because classes are limited to six people, you receive personalized care and expert trainer attention similar to one-on-one training.

I wanted to get my body working better, getting up from the floor better, I think my fear or guess my trepidation at first was the cost of alloy. It is a lot more expensive than most gyms. Very small classes. There's no more than six people in a class. So I found that it's, even though there may be other people in the class, you still get very personalized care. So I felt like it was really getting a good ⁓ personal training at a good cost. I have had a personal COVID and I have done group training for many different years. Everything from aerobic dance high impact aerobics and all of that in my much younger years. You know, alloy is so different because it is a small classes. You know, the trainer is right there next to you so get the most from your body. I have enjoyed the friends that I've made there and the support that I've gotten, not just from the trainers, other people in the classes. last week in class there was an older gentleman and there was a girl who was ⁓ probably younger than I am, gentleman said, you're lifting bigger weights than I am. And she said, yes, but I've been doing this longer and you'll be doing it soon too. So it's that kind of support you get and that kind of, it's okay to be where you are right now and to do what you can and work on that. You know, I would tell somebody that was ⁓ thinking about joining to plunge right in there and do it. That it is a good experience. The trainers are very good. They provide that personalized service to just get in there and try it and, you know, see what, see if it's what they want. I'm sure it's not what everybody wants. But I have just totally loved my classes and loved the people there.
