The interview
What was your situation before finding Fab Fertile?
I thought my life was okay until I got married and was trying to have children. I went through failed IVFs. Actually, one was successful, but still ended up in a termination. And after the fourth one, I was devastated. I was broken. I was done.
What were other doctors telling you about your fertility struggles?
Other doctors kept telling me, 'You're okay. There's nothing wrong. Let's just go with the IVF cycle.' At the particular cycle where I did get pregnant, my doctor suspected inflammation, but he just put me on steroids and told me, 'Let's go again.' All the steroids went to handle the inflammation. Of course, it was a success [initially], but I couldn't recognize my body anymore.
Did you have any hesitations about joining the program?
We did think it was a bit pricey, but at that point, look, when you're down and out, you can't go any lower, right? So I'm like, 'Well, what the hell? Let's go this route.' I'm not going to be taking injections. I'm not going to be injected with all kinds of hormones and all of that. How bad can it be?
What did you learn during your time with Fab Fertile?
What I came up with was a whole lot of information and power over my body. It was knowledge. It was my goodness—from how I eat to how I sleep, to my exercises, to my breathing, to my rest, and how to de-stress. I got fertility monitoring tools, which was really cool. I got to check my BBT. I got to understand the power of the foods I was eating and what they would do in my body.
What specific health improvements did you see?
I got to understand what was really wrong with my body. And yes, the inflammation was high and they helped me with that to get that under control. The last time we checked my charts, it was all green, gone from red to green. That was fantastic.
How would you summarize the overall impact of the program?
I went in just thinking I want a baby and I came out with a whole lifestyle change, which is beautiful. It was empowering, that's all I can say. It was a life-changing experience because that's exactly what we did. We changed everything.
