The interview
How has your life changed since working with Dr. Barrett?
My life has changed significantly. I am now living instead of just surviving. I look forward to things. I can plan events and vacations, and look forward to them. I have no worries about, am I going to be able to function on this vacation or am I going to have to cancel this event? My life has just been 100% different than what I could have ever dreamed it would be.
What was your life like before working with Dr. Barrett?
Before working with Dr. Barrett, my life was very difficult. I had migraines at least 25 days a month. And then the other couple days that I didn't have a migraine, I was trying to recover from the migraines, and from the medicine I had taken. I pretty much lost all hope, and I no longer looked forward to anything.
What made you say 'yes' to the Migraine Relief Code?
What made me say 'yes' was that I had tried everything else and nothing seemed to work. It allowed me to explore other avenues that modern medicine was not allowing me to explore, such as meditation, breath work, vitamin supplements, that type of stuff.
Did you have any hesitations about starting the program?
If I had any hesitations about starting the program it was that insurance was not accepted, and the cost was a little pricey for me at the time. What helped me get over that hurdle was I could not continue to live the way I was living. I was actually not living, I was just surviving, and I had to do something and I just had to make an investment in myself.
What other treatments had you tried in the past that didn't work?
I tried to limit some of the migraine trigger foods. I tried 22 different preventative medications. I've tried at least 15 abortive medications, and none of them seemed to be working and helping me.
What surprised you the most about working with Dr. Barrett?
What surprised me the most was that her program actually worked. I had lost hope and didn't think that anything would ever work. She had migraines herself, and so she understood what I was going through. The community was very supportive, and I learned new techniques such as breath work and meditation that I had never used before that helped relieve pain so I didn't have to take pain medicine all the time.
Why would you recommend the Migraine Relief Code?
I would recommend the Migraine Relief Code because it works. It has given me my life back. It teaches you how to do things naturally. I have started hanging out with my friends again, and gotten into relationships. And those were things that I was not able to do before.
