Katherine Sanders, reviewing Lauren Stone’s Althea Health & Wellness, describes the program as the pivotal moment that shifted her son’s recovery from stagnant to progress. After years of incorrect diagnoses for mycotoxins and leaky gut, the 8-week framework provided the strategic education and toxin labs necessary to stop guessing and start healing.

“If we had had this information five years ago, his childhood would have looked different, and that is not easy to say out loud.”
“Lauren has a unique ability to translate complicated science into clear practical steps for parents, which makes this program so powerful.”
“I had become so used to things not working and to being disappointed that it was almost hard to imagine a life where my child is healthy and thriving.”
The interview
What was your experience with the traditional medical system regarding your son's health?
My son had a lot of issues as a baby and toddler. We relied on the system, followed recommendations, and he was seen by endless doctors and specialists. He even had an endoscopy at age one with a top GI doctor at Children's National who ultimately gave him an incorrect diagnosis because he didn't know how to help.
What did you discover when you finally ran functional labs?
It wasn't until he was four that I began running functional labs that actually looked at the gut and toxic load. We found he had a major mycotoxin burden, parasites, leaky gut, dysbiosis, candida, oxalate overload, and more. But even with that information, we still struggled to find the right protocols, and healing was slow to stagnant.
How does Lauren Stone's program differ from other approaches you tried?
This program doesn't start with what diagnosis does your child have; it starts with what is your child's body communicating. It teaches how the gut, brain, immune system, and nervous system are all connected, and how stress, infections, food, and toxins overlap. It's a framework you can use for life rather than a one-size-fits-all meal plan.
What specific resources are included in the 8-week program?
The program includes biweekly live coaching calls, hot seats, live Q&As, a symptom assessment, a nutrition guide to reduce brain inflammation, hidden toxin resource guides, and access to proprietary healing protocols. It also offers live cooking classes, guest speakers, and access to practitioner-grade supplements at a discount.
What was the 'pivotal moment' for your family during the program?
I had already been on this journey for a long time and learned a lot, but what Lauren taught me filled in the pieces I didn't even realize were missing. Those missing pieces turned out to be the critical ones. That was the pivotal moment when everything began to shift and became clear, putting me on the right track to obtaining progress.
What are the different ways to join the program?
There are two ways to join. The first is the full program with the total toxin lab that includes mycotoxins, heavy metals, and chemical toxins. The second option is course only, for families who can't do the lab right now but still want the coaching, education, community, and protocols.
Frequently asked
Can a parent really learn to heal their child in just eight weeks?
Katherine Sanders acknowledged this skepticism based on past disappointments but found that Lauren Stone’s ability to translate complex science into practical steps changes everything. The program provides the education and framework needed to understand the path forward, even when full healing takes time.
Is this program just another restrictive meal plan?
No, Katherine clarifies that it is not a meal plan or a one-size-fits-all approach. It is a comprehensive framework of education, tools, and a support system that teaches parents how the gut, brain, immune, and nervous systems are connected.
What happens if I cannot afford the total toxin labs right away?
Katherine notes there is a 'course only' option for families who cannot do the lab immediately. This path still includes all coaching, education, community support, and healing protocols, with the option to add the lab later.
