“Going to a dermatologist or an allergist was only going to fix the top layer temporarily and not really get to the root cause.”
“I have not seen another program out there that addresses it to this level of detail and really holds your hand through the entire process.”
“It is very much a financial investment... However, when you look at the long term cost of again, only addressing the top layer of eczema... that was going to be more costly.”
The interview
What was your situation before starting the Eczema Transformation program?
Over a year ago, we first started seeing flares of eczema on my daughter's skin and shortly thereafter, on my son's skin. We had gone to a few dermatologists for my daughter and son, who were both suffering from eczema.
Why did you choose this program over traditional medical routes?
I knew, based on what I had read online and other moms who'd been through this, that going to a dermatologist or an allergist was only going to fix the top layer temporarily and not really get to the root cause. Once I came across the Eczema Transformation program on Instagram, I had done a lot of research into it and seen what some of the other testimonies were from other moms.
Were there any obstacles that almost prevented you from joining?
If there was something that might have prevented me from starting the program, it definitely would have been cost. It is very much a financial investment, and also your emotional energy investment because of everything you really have to do to address the root cause. Not only is the program itself an investment, but the supplements and the food that you ultimately need to change out of your pantry and refrigerator.
What surprised you most about the program?
What surprised me the most was how many people in the medical community find themselves a part of this program. I think we have this idea that it's traditional medicine versus functional medicine, and I don't think it always has to be that way. In addition, I also found the Facebook community very surprising to see the engagement from different moms on there.
How would you describe the support provided by the team?
I am so impressed at the level of detail that the providers and health coaches give to the participants in the program. It really provides so many beneficial tools literally at your fingertips, whether it's talking to providers, talking to health coaches, or having the Facebook group. There's so many options and avenues for you to go down if you're dealing with a certain issue.
Who would you recommend this program to?
I highly recommend this program for anyone that is dealing with eczema, whether it's for themselves or a loved one, and especially your children. We hear so often that children will grow out of it, but I was not willing to wait however many years to see my children grow out of it.
Frequently asked
Is the Eczema Transformation program worth the financial investment?
Heather Dooley initially hesitated due to the cost of the program, supplements, and food changes. However, she concluded that the long-term cost of only treating symptoms and the health risks of processed foods would be far more expensive.
How does this program differ from seeing a traditional dermatologist?
Heather noted that dermatologists often only fix the 'top layer' of skin temporarily. She chose this program because it focuses on the root cause and provides a detailed, step-by-step roadmap that traditional medicine often lacks.
What kind of support is provided in the Eczema Transformation program?
The program offers direct access to providers and health coaches, along with an active Facebook community. Heather found the level of detail and hand-holding throughout the process to be exceptionally beneficial.
